Doesn't really change anything for me. I'll probably give Channel 4 a go when they start showing races live, but I've got this pre-conceived idea that apart from Coulthard their coverage is a bit sh*t. May be a harsh assessment before watching, but other than DC and Steve Jones that ex T4 guy who seems a random choice, i'm not sure who else is doing their coverage, Eddie Jordan has gone hasn't he?
Tbh, given how I feel about F1 these days i'm not sure how bothered I would be if I could only watch highlights anyway...

Download this app for the android phone format and you get sky f1 for free if you have a big enough screen on phone or have an android tablet it is watchable.
the app is
"mobdro"
to install allow your security settings to install app, some security software blocks installation, it is easy to allow.

Any true fan would have Sky to watch the races live. It's the casual viewers and building the fanbase where things will suffer. I'd be amazed if Sky don't sell a package of their highlights to C4/ITV to show, much like the ITV4 highlights of Moto GP from BT.

I hate having to pay "Uncle Rupert" a penny, but as a Sports fan who likes Cricket, Football, F1, Golf, & Darts he has me by the balls. Whilst Sky's F1's coverage is second to none with Martin Brundle being as incisive as Colin Montgomerie is analysing the Golf; and Gary Neville was on Football. I caught Channel 4's coverage of the first race, to rewatch Alonso's miraculous escape. It is fair to say even in edited format Steve Jones was very wooden indeed (and very easy to see why Chris Evans rejected him for the Top Gear reboot) as a frontman host. Still Bernie Ecclestone is doing a great job of attempting to take the sport to his grave with him...

Tin top motorsport is where things are going again thesedays. Aussie V8's now has 4 marques, BTCC has up to a dozen makes in it and a grid of 32. Clio cup is as big as ever. WTCC will become good again one day.
F1 has lost a lot of appeal because it is so stale.

I have to say that I'm more excited about the BTCC's return this weekend (as well as all the support events) than the Bahrain GP.
