This petition crap makes me sad and angry.
Whatever you think of the writing on the show, how can you be so entitled as to think the hundreds of people who spent two years bringing this to life should have all their work nullified because you don't like the ending? The writers don't owe you anything. I'm disappointed about some things this season too but Jesus Christ. Grow up!

Yeah the petition thing is silly , whilst I haven’t really enjoyed the last season so far . I’m sure there are many people who have loved it . Each to their own buy people are seriously deluded if they think there going to get a rewritten version of the last season

I can just imagine all the actors being thrilled that whatever their personal thoughts on he final season, that the audience wants to drag them back in to redo the last 18 months of their careers!

The negative aspect of social media is that everyone gets to b**** and moan a lot more, get over it, if you dont like it, deal with it, but doing a petition, jeez, get out more!

I'm going to assume you're being tongue-in-cheek o and not that you've read the leaked ending (which I also have not)

That was what I thought, though the ending has leaked (apparently) so beware...

Well, the ending was what some douchebag spoiled for me online a few weeks ago and it sounded bizarre then, whereas tonight, it was just, well...a little anticlimactic I suppose. I knew it would be bittersweet but there seemed to be some awful leaps in logic to get people to their final places. Poor Dany (ultimately her journey was horrific), poor Jon (no one even tried to get him out of his fate), poor Grey Worm (sailing off to do what? Make a memorial to Missandei?!) and poor Dothraki hordes (simply evaporated). Arya became Frodo, Sansa got the throne and a few old M.I.A. characters turned up for lols at the Dragonpit.
I'll admit I got teary when I realised Ghost and Jon would be reunited, because after all, this was never the story of the Iron Throne or the quest for power, it was the story of one b*st*rd (who wasn't) and his Direwolf (who isn't).

I must admit that wasn't the greatest ending to an acclaimed series, I tried to avoid all the spoilers, but I didn't expect Bran to be the ruler of the 6 kingdoms. I expected something big to happen, after the last episode.

The fact that there were any dothraki or unsullied left alive after the battle of winter fell annoyed me the most, she does her battle speech in front of her army, when it should be 8 men and a stray horse... I enjoyed it, it was always going to end like this for Dany when she burned Kings Landing, rest of it was tied up quite nicely, but there will always be people that dont like it.

The problem with all long running tv series when they eventually come to an end, the writers have to come up with an ending of some kind. It goes without saying that you will never satisfy everybody, so you have so go what you think is best, hoping that the majority of fans will accept it.
For me I thought they just about got it right, some people have to die and some have to live, unless it is an incurable plague or something.
There are enough characters left so in 5 or 10 years time they can always bring it back. You never know?
There are lots of examples where fans have been disappointed with how things were wrapped up,some that spring to mind are Harry Potter films, Dexter tv series, Lost to name a few. I'm sure you can all think of plenty.
We should all remember how great a series it was for most of the episodes, and move on to the next thing what ever it may be.

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant in every way. I simply cannot fault the final episode. Every character seemed to finish in a place which made sense, but not after some classic GoT drama, humour and flashback references. George RR Martin will have to do outstandingly well to script a better final 100 pages.
Despite my criticisms of a couple of episodes in the final series, Game Of Thrones has usurped Sopranos as the very best television drama ever made, bar none.
I'm hoping someone starts a petition to demand knighthoods for Benioff & Weiss.

Drogons last few minutes were my favourite in the episode. Finally dragons are shown to be wise and intelligent creatures with feelings and not just a weapon. Makes you wonder why he let Dany do what she did.
A Great moment.
So many great moments not quite perfect but as good as we could hope for without a book written ending.

I'm very much in the 'meh' camp as well. I don't think it's quite as horrific as Lost or Dexter, but it's definitely on that side of the spectrum.
Roll on Winds of Winter - hopefully George's ending is far more satisfying, or at least he gets to it without cutting corners and assuming his audience will just blindly accept any incomprehensible trash he puts on the page.
