Ha Richard Keys has really bad news for Fulham and West Brom fans too, far worse than they could have imagined. They might have feared relegation but Richard Keys has predicted that they will finish 21st and 22nd in the Premier League in 2020/21, which would be some achievement…

I dont quite understand why VAR isn't coming in for yet more stick? Lamela elbows Martial in the throat, and he in turn slaps Lamela on the chin, but the key thing Martial forgot to do was fall over, and so one is sent off, and one isn't? So why does VAR not tell the ref to look at it, and either send both off, or book both, as the offence is the same an arm to the face. I'm sure Spurs would still have beaten Man U, but it would have been nice to see where the game went at 11 v 11 or 10 v 10. At least Villa didn't need dodgy decisions to help them thump Liverpool, schoolboy defending, and that's being harsh on schoolboys, as we'd just boot it forward at least, not fanny around with it in the box!

Academy Award nomination for Lamela. Why ? It was a crapulous piece of acting. There's only person in the country who was fooled by it.

Brilliant, and dont forget Leeds drew 1-1 with Man City, or is that not a shock aymore? Be nice to have an open season where anyone could win it, not sure why it's like this? Two reasons for me, fixture congestion combined with injuries and positive COVID tests hampering plans, and no crowds.
Edit - You can throw in the new handball rules along with a change in how VAR is being used as well which is seeing a lot more penalties awarded.

Seriously what planet is Gareth Southgate on? He justifies leaving out Liverpool's TAA stating “I pick the players on form". Then plays Man Utd's £80m "The Fridge" in Central Defence ... Well if you forget about his recent form for his club. The mere concept of a traumatized Harry Maguire surrounded by the boys in blue .... can only lead to a negative outcome. (Either that, or he wanted to get back to the dressing room as quick as possible to watch BBC1's The Repair Shop). Whilst if he picks players on form why did he not pick the best midfielder since the start of this Premiership season (Jack Grealish), who got MOTM against Wales for England, only to be rewarded by not featuring in either of the last two matches. And how many more cock ups does Pickford need to do in an England kit, before he drops him for either of the two superior goalkeepers in his squad? When you look at the starting XI and then look at the squad bench and think the XI not playing is superior, and in much better form then you know we have problems .... starting with the manager whom got Middlesbrough relegated from the Premiership.

No talk about Liverpool and Man U blackmailing lower league teams struggling financially, just so they have more power over decisions in the premier league?

No talk about Liverpool and Man U blackmailing lower league teams struggling financially, just so they have more power over decisions in the premier league? It is exactly the same as China lending billions to all of the impoverished nations in Africa, the Caribbean and Asia, in exchange for United Nations votes.

Liverpool and Man U both cut from the same cloth. Glad it got voted down. Absolute disgrace to try and bribe the FA (100m), bribe the football league (250m) and bribe enough mid table teams with "special status" to push through a power grab which would allow them to veto any future change to football ever other teams being taken over, the changes would mean the top clubs got 3.5x the TV money of the bottom clubs so in essence Liverpool and Man U agreed the football league should get more money but the bottom of the Premierhsip should pay for it!

Ref. raliverpool's post. I didn't see the game - I don't waste my time with friendlies. I agree:- Maguire is hopeless. Jordan Pickford should be about the 6th choice by now. Grealish is superb, and we should be shaping a team around him, with Henderson as his enforcer. I disagree:- Gomez is playing as badly as Maguire at the moment. Ward-Prowse is over-rated - good at set pieces, but mediocre at everything else. I strongly disagree:- Southgate has done wonders with a set of players who are not nearly as good as the stars of the 00s who failed dismally and repeatedly under a succession of high profile managers. Your comments smack of cheap tabloid journalism, where one bad result triggers four pages of personal attacks just to fill space and earn a pile of re-tweets. At least I know that you wouldn't be proposing Harry Redknapp as his replacement.

I'm not convinced the second yellow card was warranted, he didn't seem to go in out of control, got the ball cleanly, and catching the player with the follow-on was simply part of the momentum of the players and wasn't a dangerous looking collision. Not even a foul to me. The first one was bad though, might have been a red on its own.
Penalty decision nonsnse too. VAR would surely have overruled that though they couldn't have overruled a second yellow.
Team not creative enough going forward although it's obviously hard when down to 10 players.

That's just what I've been saying elsewhere. Liverpool and Man U are being very generous with other clubs' money.

So whilst elite football continues, amateur football is suspended. No Dereham matches till December.
