I wonder if a bit of advertising in the music forum and personal charts forum might rustle up another chart or two Player? Just start a thread with a link to this week's chart and see if anyone shows an interest, someone like Robbie might like to do this I'd have thought, or maybe Laurence. Sorry not that familiar with the early 80s music and doubt I'd have a chance to check it out.

Bjork always is crazy, lol. The last album of hers I really got into was Medulla back in 2004. Didn't bother with Volta or Biophilia (although I did like the technology associated with that one).
Might check this one out actually - in the mood for challenging music. Thanks for the post.

Hozier I think will go top 10. The thing about the chart at the moment is that it's full of sleeper hits all year round that there's not much fresh wood to remove anyway. Only Wealdstone Raider, Pogues and Mariah and Gorgon City will plummet - possibly Ben Haenow

Well as bad as the swear word was its nothing compared to Nicki Minaj's 'Anaconda' - both subject matter and swear words.

Hymns is a great voteless word too.

I love hymns - both the old fashioned ones and even some of the modern hands in the air Jesus ones. favourites include - Dear Lord and Father of Mankind (Divine Comedy do a brilliant version of this), Amazing Grace, Be Thou My Vision, my Song is Love Unknown, Shine Jesus Shine. All about the emotion and the journey. Havent heard the ones in the OP. Must check them out!

Slipknot are still in contention for no.1 albums after all these years in the music biz? I know that Neil Diamond is old as the hills but for such an extreme act I'm surprised they're still going strong.

Lot of sausage references and that Stephen and Sarah are already very annoying but watchable in car crash Tv kind of way.

OK, i will stick with snow patrol as i do think they have strong scottish links even if the band members themselves are northern irish. interesting that you mention the view - i considered them but thought they would be too obscure... The View were huge for a brief period in 2006/7. Those were the days I used to listen to XFm and remember when Same Jeans made no. 3. in a similar vein and not mentioned so far are Fratellis especially for Chelsea Dagger!

I unashamedly really like this. Considering many UK artists want to sound American, it's bizarre that a US female has done a track that sounds very Eliza Doolittle/ Lily Allen. Really catchy and funny lyrics too.

Thanks Jason. I heard the Mary J Blige version of Titanium. Doesn't sound good.
Going back over 20 years, both Kate Bush and Annie Lennox turned down Everything I Do (I Do it for You) which of course went to Bryan Adams.

Much better than Calvin. In fact this is one of the most beautiful tracks I've heard in a long time.

Considering nothing he's released so far has resembled music in any way, shape or form, I'd use the term 'Newly enter' rather than 'Re-enter'
