It was arranged by Jack Nitzsche who arranged many of Spector's Wall Of Sound recordings.

Barry Sadler served as a Green Beret medic, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. He served in the Vietnam War from late December 1964 to late May 1965. Most of his work has a military theme, and he is best known for his patriotic "Ballad of the Green Berets," a #1 hit in 1966 for 5 weeks keeping the Stones & the Beatles at #2 & #3. He recorded an album of similarly themed songs which he titled Ballads of the Green Berets which also topped the US album charts. In August 2008 upon the 50th anniversary of the Billboard Hot 100 charts it was voted by music critics as the worst #1 of all time.

Their UK#1 hit "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore" was a cover of a 1965 Frankie Valli solo single written by Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio.

Herman's Hermits seem to have been massive in the US They were. Their first 12 singles released in the USA peaked at #13 or higher. Arguably, their best song {Spoiler} No Milk Today (USA #35, in contrast it reached UK #7, Canada #2 & Australia #1). They would have one further USA top 15 hit, and their last US top 40 hit occurred early 1968. Even though their string of UK top 20 hits lasted until 1970. broke that run.

The former UK#1 "Keep On Running" was by The British beat/blue eyed soul band formed in Birmingham, featuring the vocals & keyboard skills of a 17 year old Steve Winwood. the band featured his older brother, bassist Muff Winwood who would later work as a record producer in the 1970s; and from the 1980s become A&R of CBS (later Sony) UK records where he signed the likes of Prefab Sprout, Terence Trent D'Arby, Sade, Shakin' Stevens and The Psychedelic Furs.
