Montenegro miss the chance to go 2nd, losing to already-qualified Denmark. It means Bosnia & Herzegovina will be in the playoffs if they win their final game against Azerbaijan.

Poland keep their faint playoff hopes alive with victory over Albania. They will be hoping Norway can beat Belgium on Friday so they still have a chance of overtaking them in the final round of games, though Belgium's final game is against the pointless Armenia.

Two dead rubbers in Group B with Spain and Scotland already locked into the top 2 positions. Spain will be keen to keep winning however, to keep alive their chances of being one of the seeded teams for the finals. Scotland lost 2-1 to the Netherlands in a friendly ahead of their final group game against the Faroe Islands.

A narrow win for Northern Ireland to guarantee them 3rd place in the group, which in turn, should give them a more favourable draw for the next qualifying competition. Rebecca McKenna scored the winner five minutes from time, shortly after Luxembourg had goalscorer Amy Thompson sent off, having been shown a second yellow card for partially removing her shirt whilst celebrating her equaliser.

Tuva Hansen's second half goal means Norway will maintain their perfect record of appearing at every Women's World Cup. Belgium will be in the playoffs unless they suffer a very unlikely defeat to Armenia in their final game, in which case Poland could leapfrog them by beating Kosovo.

The top 3 in Group G all won so there's no change at the top. That means Romania are eliminated despite their 7-1 win over Lithuania as their head-to-head record against Switzerland prevents them from finishing 2nd. Italy play Romania on Tuesday, knowing a draw will be enough for them to qualify. If they slip up, Switzerland can take advantage by beating Moldova.
