Max Whitlock has delivered on the hype on the Pommel Horse to retain his Olympic Gold from 2016.
Very well done to Team GB BMX with a Gold (Charlotte Worthington) & Bronze (Declan Brooks) earlier in the day.
Forget the England Football Team; Team GB BMX should win SPOTY Team of the Year IMHO.

Max Whitlock has delivered on the hype on the Pommel Horse to retain his Olympic Gold from 2016. Yes he hasn't been in great form recently and was below par earlier but when it mattered he absolutely nailed from the awkward position og going first - brilliant.

VIRTUAL MEDAL TABLE PREDICTIONS:
Gold: Laura Collett
Silver: Oliver Townend, team eventing, Emily Campbell
Bronze: Tom McEwen
GB is predicted to have a 1-2-3 finish in the eventing, though after the cross country, it's Oliver Townend leading the way, with Collett 3rd and McEwen 6th. Given the predicted 1-2-3 finish, I'm not sure how Gracenote have predicted a silver in the team competition.
The other predicted medal for Day 10 is for Emily Campbell in weightlifting. She's the current European champion.
Two more sailing competitions are decided. In the men's 49er, Dylan Fletcher is 2nd going into the medal race. In the 49er FX, Charlotte Dobson and Saskia Tiday are 5th.
In gymnastics, the Gadirova twins are in the final of the floor. Jessica qualified 5th and Jennifer 9th, the latter gaining a place in the final after the withdrawal of Simone Biles.
Track cycling gets underway with the women's team sprint the first gold medal event, though GB isn't represented. Qualifying also takes place for the men's and women's team pursuit.
GB's women face Spain in the quarter-finals of the hockey.

Did anyone see the scenes and celebrations following the decision to award both Mutaz Barshim and Gianmarco Tamberi gold medals in the High Jump? It's fantastic and one of the highlights of the Olympics so far.
