128. Alice Merton - Vertigo
“Vertigo” marks Merton’s first new music since 2019’s Mint, randomly I heard this one by the Berlin-based singer-songwriter on the NHL 22 soundtrack and I'm glad I did, its a bit of a banger

127. Bowling For Soup - Getting Old Sucks (But Everybody's Doing It)
Bowling For Soup have been releasing a few decent songs lately and this one hits hard because getting old really does suck and I relate too much to this song ha

126. MARINA - Purge The Poison
Another great pop song in my list, I've been a fan since her pop banger "Primadonna", she released some ok music before that but "Primadonna" was great and this is up there with that

125. BLOXX - Pop Culture Radio
Indie-pop quartet BLOXX are on the rise. Having released their debut album Lie Out Loud last year, followed by a stellar EP Pop Culture Radio this summer. When asked what the future of BLOXX is, frontwoman Fee Booth said "We try to take each day as it comes but I am working on the second record. It’s kind of in the realm of the EP. We’ve adopted this new sound that’s bit more guitar-y, a little bit left of the first record which was more pop-y."

124. You Me At Six - SUCKAPUNCH
You Me at Six are an English rock band from Weybridge that's been pretty prolific in the alt rock scene for well over a decade but this one wouldn't be out of place in a Pendulum set!

123. Poppy - Flux
More wonderful weirdness from the Queen of pop metal, Flux (the album and the single) are both rooted more in rock music as she reinvents her sound again, the video is wonderfully weird too

122. Mammoth WVH - Feel
One of my musical highlights of 2021 was discovering the debut album from Wolfgang Van Halan, carrying on his fathers legacy and blazing his own trail by just rocking out, every track on his debut album is a banger.

120. CHVRCHES - He Said She SaidOne TheThorne has just got to in his countdown, it did well with me too but it has dropped down my list because of the unneeded voice manipulation, at times it can add to a song but here I keep thinking it could've been so much better if Lauren Mayberry didn't sound at times like a robot, she has such an angelic yet powerful voice and the rest of the album the balance is much better but here at times its full cringe

119. Planet Mercury - Comatose
Ok, one people might not know, it was an unexpected #3 hit in my chart way back in about March, A nice mix Green Day pop punk with a bit of Less Than Jake thrown in with a huge sing along chorus

116. Crawlers - Come Over (again)
The latest entry to my chart this year, I just had to fit it in, Come Over (again) was released on 29th October as lead track from their EP, it got a music video on 2st November and eventually charted at #84 on the 9th of December in the UK chart, I only came across it in the middle of December thanks to Justin Hawkins who has started reviewing music on Youtube, this is a dreamy-pop-grunge ballad, peppered with lush harmonies and will be huge in my chart by early 2022 (just charted it last week).

Ahh Im charting Crawlers this week so will be a big January hit for me, and how good is Justin Hawkins YouTube channel. I love how it is so low tech and off the cuff but still amazing. You dont need to be an expert in video editing to be a great YouTuber although it does help usually hehe.

115. Sam Fender - Spit Of You
More Sam Fender, this time he is getting his Ryan Adams on, bit different to his usual songs, more mellow and acoustic but it was still a big hit in my chart

113. New Found Glory - The Devil Has Many Faces
Another great year for the legendary pop punk band, a brilliant deluxe version of "Forever + Ever x Infinity" had at least 3 new cracking songs on it "Backseat", "The Devil Has Many Faces", "The Last Red-Eye" then December saw a Christmas album release, imo they are better than ever

112. Kississippi - We’re So In Tune
Another new discovery for 2021, Kississippi is the solo pop and indie folk project of 26 year old Philadelphia-based singer-songwriter Zoe Allaire Reynolds, I really enjoyed her 2021 album "Mood Ring" too, this is totally Havens cup of tea and is up there with anything Muna or Fickle Friends have released this year

111. The Fratellis - Half Drunk Under a Full Moon
The Chelsea Dagger brothers are back with more great new music, for me they are still consistently releasing some great tunes long after their mid 00s contemporaries have jumped the shark
