337 The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me - Brand New
Much more hardcore and experimental than their previous album, its not always easy to listen to but they are such an awesome band. It reached #31 in the US and #77 in the UK in 2006.
336 Who Killed The Zutons? - The Zutons
Their debut album, I marginally prefer it to their followup but they are pretty close. It reached #6 in the UK in 2004.

335 The Good, The Bad and The Queen - The Good, the Bad & the Queen
Landing in the middle of Damon's projects in the 00s, we still have a Blur and Gorillaz album to appear. This supergroup album reached #2 in the Uk and #48 in the Us in 2007.
334 You Have No Idea What You're Getting Yourself Into - Does It Offend You, Yeah?
A very underated band and album again, this album contains one of my favourite songs of the 00s. This was their debut record and reached #48 in the UK in 2008.

The standard is starting to get very high cant believe records like this will be in these positions
333 Aha Shake Heartbreak - Kings of Leon
This is the second album from them and its not quite in the same league as their debut but still has their classic style. It reached #3 in the UK and #55 in the US.
332 Graffiti Soul- Simple Minds
This album was a massive return to form probably their best record since the 80s but they would improve again in the 10s. It was their fifteenth album and went to #10 in the UK in 2009.

331 The Best Damn Thing - Avril Lavigne
Choosing between this and 'Under My Skin' is near impossible, in the end it came down to which was the more consistent listen but really they are both 4/5 albums and will be very close in the list. This album was a worldwide number one in 2007.
330 Crimson - Alkaline Trio
First of three albums for them, their next album and their second album miss the cut. This was their 5th album and it just has tune after tune, they were on fire between 2001-2005 but they are still great today. This reached #25 in the US and #34 in the UK.

329 Fantastic Playroom - New Young Pony Club
One of the best groups in the new rave scene, this was their debut album released in 2007. It reached #54 in the UK.
328 Lucky - Nada Surf
First appearance of three for one of my favourite bands of the last 25 years. This was their 5th album and its only so low because I just never gave it as much attention, need to but you know whats its like you keep playing your fave, which is much higher up this list. The album reached #82 in the US.

327 Years of Refusal - Morrissey
The second apperaance for Morrissey on the list, he still has one to come. This album was released in 2009 and reached #3 in the Uk and #11 in the US.
326 We Can Create - Maps
We have had a lot of big names in this list recently but do you remember this band. They had two brilliant electro shoegaze singles but the whole album was great. This was their debut album and it was nominated for a Mercury Prize in 2007

325 Perfect Symmetry - Keane
This was Keane's third album and their first apperance of three on the list. It gave them a Uk number one and US #7 in 2008.
324 A Hundred Days Off - Underworld
This was their sixth album and their best of the 00s. It was released in 2002 and reached #16 in the Uk and #122 in the US.

323 Ten Silver Drops - Secret Machines
This was their second album and the one that gave them their most commercial attention. It was released in 2006 and reached #43 in the UK and #159 in the US.
322 The Kissaway Trail - The Kissaway Trail
Another less well known band I guess you would call them a post-Arcade Fire band. they are Danish and this was their debut album released in 2007.

I remember Maps! Bought that album on the strength of 'You Don't Know Her Name' and wasn't disappointed!

321 Over The Counter Culture - The Ordinary Boys
Another one of the ultimate indie landfill bands but this does have some big songs on it. It was their debut album released in 2004 and reached #18 in the UK.
320 Icky Thump - The White Stripes
They have three albums still too appear and they will all be much much higher. This is still a great record just the remaining records are next level. This was a UK number one and US #2 in 2007.

319 The Cure - The Cure
The highest placed album for The Cure in the 00s. Again its very good just not up to their best although the lead single is briliant hence why I used it in HF. this was their 12th album released in 2004 and reached #8 in the Uk and #7 in the US.
318 Merriweather Post Pavilion - Animal Collective
Now Pitchfork favourites, I can see why people/hipsters loved this band so much but it never had that speciall effect on me. Yes its a great record again just not the best ever of the 21st century like some think. Wow this was actually their 8th album and was released in 2009. It reached #13 in the US and #26 in the UK.

317 Vehicles & Animals - Athlete
And to the other extreme, dont think Athlete were ever considered cool. But I really liked them and felt they were very underrated. Their debut album reached #19 in the UK in 2003. This is still my favourite song of theirs.
316 Everything All The Time - Band of Horses
Another debut and this one is only so low as I just bought 'The Funeral' and not the album at the time, I have spend more time with the later records. Not a big success yet but early days reached #191 in the UK in 2006.

These next four I have found really hard to order. My barometer for many albums from around 400 to maybe 250, Do I like it more than 'The Fame', if I didnt they have been listed amd if I did they were pushed up higher. These next four come in just under Lady Ga Ga. They all have brilliant moments but also some terrible/very dull ones, I guess they are just records that I cant enjoy all the way through so on that basis they dont beat The Fame test.
Oh its too hard back later...

315 Sigh No More - Mumford & Sons
One of the most recent albums on the list, released in October 2009. It was their debut album, it would be eventually a US & UK #2 album.
314 Under The Blacklight - Rilo Kiley
The final album for the band released in 2007. It reached #22 in the US and #34 in the UK.

313 Under My Skin - Avril Lavigne
Her second album, the debut is of course still too come and will be very high. It was a worldwide number one in 2004.
312 Up All Night - Razorlight
I just dont know when this album is good is very good but when it isn't, it isn't. scrap 4 or 5 tracks and this would have cracked the top 300 easy. It was their debut album and reached #3 in 2004. Which single to choose!!??

311 The Fame - Lady Gaga
So here we are at a benchmark release, the next one is Garbage - Beautiful Garbage at around #250. I was slow to Lady Ga Ga, at teh tiem I preferred every other solo female that appeared that year such as La Roux, Ladyhawke even Little Boots but now she easily surpasses at least one of those singers. It reached #1 in the UK and #2 in the US in 2008.
310 Some Cities - Doves
This was the bands's third album, the first two are still to appear. It reached #1 in the UK and #111 in the US in 2005.

309 Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots - The Flaming Lips
This concept album was their 10th release and their highest placed of the 00s. It reached #13 in the UK and #50 in the US in 2002.
308 Minutes to Midnight - Linkin Park
First appearance for Linkin Park in my list, they have two more albums to appear. Another worldwide chart topper, their third album was released in 2007

307 Veckatimest - Grizzly Bear
Recommended to be by a friend who was very much in the Pitchfork arena for taste but this was a great choice. This was his third album and features probably his most well known song. It went to #8 in the US and #24 in the UK in 2008.
306 What It Is To Burn - Finch
This though was more like what I was listening to myself, I didn't really manage to push him far in that direction hehe. This was Finch' s debut album and if I had made this list 10 years ago, it would probably be much higher. It only got to #99 in the US and #177 in the UK in 2002. MTV 2 Classic!!

305 Sing When You're Winning - Robbie Williams
Is this a surprise? C'mon admit this album is full of bangers! It was his 3rd album and was a UK number one and #110 in the US in 2000.
304 Know Your Enemy - Manic Street Preachers
I feel bad that no Manics albums make the top 300 but this was their best of that decade and this is still effectively a top 30 album of its release year. This was their 6th album and was released in 2001. It reached #2 in the Uk. The singles are not even the best songs on this record but we need to pick one.

303 Wonderland - The Charlatans
Now a double from two reliable indie rock stalwarts and this is also a peak for them in the 00s. This was their seventh album and reached #2 in the Uk in 2001.
302 Language.Sex.Violence.Other? - Stereophonics
This was their 5th album and gave them their first number one single. It was also a UK number one in 2005.
