Yes Lostprophets Is difficult it would have been in my top 200 if I had made this list 12 years ago. I had to skim it this time .

370 More Adventurous - Rilo Kiley
First of two entries for Jenny Lewis's band in the 00s, I was a bit late to them as well. Their third album was released in 2004 and reached #161 in the US.
369 Ringleader of the Tormentors - Morrissey
All three of Morrissey's 00s albums are very good and I expected this to come out 2nd but after playing it and 'Years Of Refusal' they pretty much swapped places. This was though the only number one of the three in 2006 and it also raeched #27 in the US.

368 Out Of Exile - Audioslave
Now a double dose of rock, first of two entries from the Chris Cornell fronted supergroup and although very good, its not quite in the same league as the debut. It reached #5 in the UK and #1 in the US in 2005.
367 Antenna - Cave In
Benefitting from having current music out, this Alt metal band gets a boost up the list with their more commercial rock breakthrough third album. It reached #67 in the UK and #169 in the US in 2003.

366 Version - Mark Ronson
We really are all over the place here. This was Mark Ronson second album and the one that made him famous with guest vocalists either rejigging their sound or singing covers with the Mark Ronson production giving them a whole new sound. It reached #2 in the Uk and #129 in the US in 2007.
365 12 Memories - Travis
At one time my favourite band but just 3 records make the cut although the last appearance will be much much higher. Their 4th album reached #3 in thE UK and #41 in the US in 2003.

364 Ether Song - Turin Brakes
One of the biggest names in the new acoustic scene and this is a good record but apart from 'Pain Killer'. there is nothing here thats essential listening. It reached #4 in the UK in 2003
363 Kish Kash - Basement Jaxx
I expected this to be a bit higher but dropped after playing it, 'Rooty' is so much better that I had to push it down. It was their third album and last one to make the list but of course 'Rooty' is still to come. It reached #17 in the Uk and #172 in the US in 2003.

362 The Invitation - Thirteen Senses
Now a band that are probably a bit forgotten, defintely a group that will appeal to fans of Travis or Embrace. The album reached #14 in the UK in 2004.
361 21st Century Breakdown - Green Day
First appearance for Green Day on the list and this maybe seems a bit low but if I was doing just a 2009 list it would probably be top 25, it just doesnt compare to their other two albums. It was of course a number one everywhere in 2009.

360 The Con - Tegan and Sara
One of two albums for them on the list, they are starting to go a bit more pop but they wont really make that leap until 2013. This album reached #34 in the US in 2007.
359 Two Suns - Bat For Lashes
I didn't love this as much as I expected when I played it again recently, 'Daniel' stood out a mile but not much else so it has dropped quite a bit. This was her 2nd album and reached #5 in the UK and #141 in the US in 2009.

Now two records that maybe havent aged well lyrically but loved them both at the time but they both drop back a bit in 2022.
358 The Best Little Secrets Are Kept - Louis XIV
I loved the big hit Louis XIV - Find Out True Love Is Blind it might even have been my song of the year at the time. Yes it is very dodgy lyrically but it is meant to be shocking. The album reached #'159 in the US but didnt chart here in 2004.
357 Fire - Electric Six
I actually played 'Gay Bar' on a jukebox last year, it was hilarious hearing it in a very studenty bar, it did get some thumbs up even today hehe The album though raeched #7 in the UK in 2003. Still one of the best videos ever!

356 Highly Evolved - The Vines
The debut album from the Australian band and always was a record I had to be in the mood for, I just felt The Hives did this sound so much better with a bit of humour as well. It reached #3 in the UK and #11 in the US in 2002.
355 The State of Things - Reverend And The Makers
Another album which just had one huge single but the rest was pretty good as well. It was their debut album and reached #5 in 2007.

Loved both Audioslave albums but the debut is better, agreed. I don't remember '12 Memories' at all other than 'Re-Offender' so need to play that again... I was obsessed with them during 'The Man Who'/'The Invisible Band' era but other than 'A Boy With No Name' which I was also really into at the time, I've struggled to keep up with them. Imagine I know which album from this decade you have highest... I always got The Vines and The Hives confused! I did really like 'Get Free' though. Or was that The Hives

354 The Used - The Used
The debut album from the US rock band. It was released in 2002 and reached #63 in the US.
353 Any Minute Now - Soulwax
The third album from Soulwax but the first where they move away from being a pop rock band into a more electronic sound. It was released in 2004 and reached #63 in the Uk.

352 Confessions on a Dance Floor - Madonna
Madonna' s best album of the 00s falls just short of the top 350. It was her 10th album and was released in 2005. It was of course a worldwide chart topper.
351 Tragedy Rocks - The Crimea
The debut album from the British indie band, they never managed to match it sadly. It was released in 2005.

350 Beautiful Future - Primal Scream
First of four appearances for Primal Scream in the top 350. It was their 9th album and features their last hit single. The album went to #9 in 2008. Can't Go Back www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lWGnxtxP4w&ab_channel=PrimalScream-Topic349 Sound of Silver - LCD SoundsystemTheir second album, it reached #28 in the UK and #46 in the US in 2007. 348 Melody AM - RöyksoppProbably helped by Haven Factor, their debut album has a pretty high placing. It raeched #9 in the Uk in 2001.

347 Once Upon A Time In The West - Hard-FI
Their second album still very good just not on the same level as their debut. It was still a UK number one though in 2007.
346 Because Of The Times - Kings of Leon
Another record from 2007, this was their third album and my least favourite but still would be a top 40 of the year finish. It was also a UK numner one and reached #25 in the US.

345 Tonight - Franz Ferdinand
Another third album and the lowest appearance for Franz on the list by some distance but of course I still really like it. It reached #2 in the UK and #8 in the US in 2009.
344 Take Them On, On Your Own - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
Their second album the debut is still to come, it reached #3 in the Uk and #47 in the US in 2003.

343 Heathen Chemistry - Oasis
Highest finish for Oasis in the 00s and yes probably their best album since 'Morning Glory' but like any past that record, I dont really revisit them. It was their 5th album and was a Uk number one and US 23 in 2002.
342 A Beautiful Lie - Thirty Seconds To Mars
There isn't many bands in the 21st century where I have gone from liking, to loving, to being obsessed, to being disappointed in and then really disliking but TSTM are one of those bands. This album though was where I discovered them and I was a little late to it, only heard the whole record after their next release which is still too come. This was their 2nd album and reached #38 in the Uk and #36 in the US.

341 Louder Now - Taking Back Sunday
This was their third album and it was not quite as good as their second album, I am afraid I have never got round to checking out their debut. It reached #2 in the US, wow and #18 in the UK in 2006.
340 Left - Hope Of The States
Sadly the second and last album from this band, I absolutely loved their debut, it will be much higher. And like above its still a good record but just managed #50 in the Uk in #2006.

339 Welcome Interstate Managers - Fountains Of Wayne
A lot more to this band and album than 'Stacy's Mom' its a very underated record as a whole. Ot was their third album but only reached #115 in the Us in 2003. I shoudl highlight another song but...
338 Our Love To Admire - Interpol
They still have two more albums to appear, this was their third album and its good but not one I would usually choose to play in full. It reached #4 in the US and #2 in the UK in 2007.
