Yes, he's well in control.
A win for Robertson could put him in the top 8 of the provisional rankings.
Cope could come close to the top 16.

The one plus point about the round robin format is because of the shorter matches there will always be surprises and new names in the knockout stages. But on the other hand not sure it makes for a good final, saw it last night from 7-2 and it wasnt good quality, but Robertson did deserve to win. Not convinced he'll be Top 10 at the end of the season tho

But on the other hand not sure it makes for a good final, saw it last night from 7-2 and it wasnt good quality, but Robertson did deserve to win. Not convinced he'll be Top 10 at the end of the season tho I'm not sure we wouldn't have ended up with the same final if it had just been a straight knockout. It's only the second tournament of the season and some players are still rusty. The number of players in the quarter-finals from outside the top 16 was 5, the same as last season's event. I'm not convinced by the round robin format but it could work with some tweaks here and there. I wouldn't like it for all the tournaments but wouldn't mind it for one event like this to make it stand out from the rest. I'll post the new provisional rankings shortly.

Stuart Bingham will play either Mark Selby or Marco Fu tomorrow for a place in January's Masters tournament.
The winner will join the world's top 16 plus wild cards Ding Junhui and Jimmy White in the 19-man, non-ranking tournament.
In the past, the Masters has been the second most valuable tournament after the World Championship, in terms of winner's prize money.
