Late equaliser by Kung Fu Huth gets a valuable point for Middlesbrough.

Sounded like a dodgy disallowed goal for both sides in that game, too.
A draw was what I expected when I saw our team. If we'd had any 2 of Alves, Tuncay and Mido available I think we would've taken all 3 points with ease.

Middlesbrough will be delighted with the point im sure A point away from home is always welcome but given Newcastle's recent form, "delighted" certainly isn't the word I'd use, especially as a win would've put us above them in the table.

As long as you stay 5 places above the relegation places you should be alright...

I still think Fulham will go. They haven't won away from home for what, 17/18 months, so will be relying on their home games to give them the points they need (which will be ATLEAST 18 - 6 wins).
They only have 6 home games left. Against West Ham, Man Utd, Everton, Sunderland, Liverpool & Birmingham. They have to be looking to win atleast 5 of those and I just can't see it.

a draw seemed a fair result in the game, though obviously I would have preferred Newcastle to win...

Lawrie Sanchez was utterly useless. The jury is still out for Hodgson's Scandanavians...

Thought I'd post this here rather than start a new thread about how awful the FA are! After deciding Middlesbrough's appeal against Jeremie Aliadiere's sending off was 'frivolous' they've added an extra match to his ban meaning he will now be suspended for four games! There are three reasons for this being COMPLETELY ridiculous! 1) Why ban the player? The CLUB appealed, NOT Aliadiere, so why is it the player that serves the punishment? 2) Earlier in the season Michael Essien was sent off (against Derby I think) for pretty much EXACTLY the same thing, Chelsea appealed but the three match ban was to stay. 3) He was sent off for putting his hand to Javier Mascherano's face, and giving him the TINIEST of slaps. Why did he do this? Because Mascherano had just done EXACTLY the same and put his to Aliadiere's face! So two questions; 1) Why hasn't Mascherano been banned for even one match, let alone four? Last time I checked it was a sending off offence to raise your hand towards the face of an opponant. 2) Why didn't Essien serve an extra match ban? The answer is simple, both Mascherano and Essien play for clubs in the so called 'big 4' which ONCE AGAIN the FA are completely biased towards! AWFUL!

Watching the replay you should've won. Alves looked good, think after a few months this season of getting used to the game he could flourish next year.
