I'll kick off with my favourite ten, however this may be subject to change as it took me quite a substantial amount of time to narrow it down as it is. 1) Lay All Your Love On Me 2) Take A Chance On Me 3) One Of Us 4) The Name Of The Game 5) Eagle 6) Soldiers 7) The Day Before You Came 8) Move On 9) Bang A Boomerang 10) I Do I Do I Do I Do I Do

What a gorgeous picture to open the thread. And Agnetha looks as though she's in love with life as ever.

I'm a big Abba fan, have been since 1974 when they won Eurovision. I'll think of my top 10 and post it later. Like a lot of album tracks, That's Me, The Piper and Hasta Manana. Have the 5 albums from Arrival on CD, as well as the 1976 Greatest Hits, Gold and More Gold CD's.

I've not seen that pic before.I like it ! The only songs I don't like are 'Does Your Mother Know' and..... 'So Long' (i think or is it 'On and On' ) - I didn't like the tracks with the guys singing, although I do enjoy B*Witched version of DoesYourMotherKnow ! Uhmm I've only got Gold and MoreGold (and I only bought them after seeing 'Muriels Wedding'),so I'll choose my top ten from those....
(the top 4 never changes)
1) The Day Before You Came 2) When All Is Said And Done 3) Gimme Gimme Gimme 4) Money Money Money 5) Our Last Summer 6) Head Over Heels 7) The Way Old Friends Do 8) Honey Honey 9) I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do 10) I Wonder (Departure)

I've changed the picture at the top of the thread as the other one was starting to give me the creeps a bit.

The Day Before You Came seems to a popular choice. I tend to prefer some of the "Divorce Years" songs more than the earlier ones (although my Top Ten might not suggest that, even though in my head I have changed the list at least six times today). I love this song as its so undramatically dramatic!

this new picture gives me the creeps more than the other one Why Sauron?I think it's a good picture all clinical and white , very pure and virgin like! It's from the cover of their Definitive collection, a great one which i got from a buddy of mine for christmas last year, a double remastered cd and dvd.The best collection of their songs imo. Then again as i said a lot of their better songs weren't singles.Move on from The Album is another example.Super Trouper is probably their best album there is not a single album filler on there all good pop songs. The Visitors grew on me years after it came out.I liked Head over Heals immediately but The day before you came was very serious and different to their normal singles and it took me quite a long time to like it but after Head over Heals is probably my most played ABBA song.I love the video with all its Stockholm dark and gloom, creates such a sad vibe, one can almost feel Agnetha's pain by watching it!Which was the case with all the videos since The winner takes it all.

I remember it being in the papers (so not true then) that Geri Halliwell (I love her) was bringing out a cover of The Day Before You Came.I SO wanted it to be true. The press also had it that she was doing a cover of Madonna Cherish - I wanted that to be true too.
*** Fingers crossed that it comes to pass as a double AA side in the future to launch her solo Greatest Hits album ***

I LOVE The Visitors. I have the remastered version with the extra tracks, and have immediately skipped to the three extra songs - it's You Owe Me One at the moment! Oh, I liked The Day Before You Came straight away. And One Of Us is one of the first ABBA tracks I remember seeing on Top Of The Pops. I've always liked the tracks where it appears they are having a subtle snipe at each other!

Sorry but i will personally go over to the UK and give her a spanking if she touches that song.I never cared for Cherish though not a very strong melody and Madonna's voice sounds awefully weak on that one imo.Vogue and others give much moe justice to her voice.*jannie hiding from irrate Madonna fans*

Money Money Money was the first song i've liked of them, followed by Thank you for the music, such a wellproduced song, they should've released it when it came out in the late 70s, im sure it would've been huge.

I do!I was even considering joining the fan club when i was younger. Didn't even know they had one. To be honest the only song of they have done that i can bare is waterloo, it's better than nothing Strangely enough i've never really liked that one. There are few Eurovision songs i like.I didn't like Making your mind up either, dont even mention the 1991 entry Message to your heart, terrible as well as Sonia's Better the devil you know 1993.I was thinking after the brilliance of Can't forget you and You'll never sto me from loving you, this? But that's entirely my opinion.
