Because we know you wouldn't like it Good retort! See, I can be considerate sometimes Oh don't we all wish that. However, I have found my student/graduate loan/credit card/overdraft have all gotten in the way of those dreams... how about you?

Completely! They never warn you when you take on debt of just how financially crippling it can potentially be - I often debate that people shouldn't be able to get overdrafts or credit cards until they are at least 21. At the time, I just had no concept of how much those odd £20 bills add up to when you have a house to run as well and I really regret even getting one now.

I have to admit, I often wonder if it was entirely worth it (especially since I didn't enjoy my degree). I went to university because that's what I always thought I would do, rather than it being something I should. I wouldn't have survived without an overdraft or credit card though.
I think there is definitely a link between university debt and the stagnation of the housing market- people under a certain age aren't buying because they just can't afford it. Even if house prices were reasonable they wouldn't be able to. I really don't think the government thought it through before they introduced tuition fees etc etc.

if you had to move aboard where would you go and why? I'm not the world's best expert on other countries as I've hardly been abroad in my life. However, it wouldn't be somewhere like Spain, Portugal, other typical destinations etc. It would have to be a country that interests me, India does as does the idea of going somewhere in Africa - however they would probably be too hot a climate for me to enjoy being there for a long period of time. Canada would be a viable option as it's cool enough and looks utterly gorgeous on the pictures I've seen of it - I also rather like the idea of living in Iceland although I may be too tempted to stalk Bjork! In short, I'm not really sure but it would be somewhere relatively cold with a lot of cultural things to do and see.

Do you ever listen to classical music? Yes. Not often but I do when I'm feeling a bit down. My favourite classical cd is one that Classic FM put out a few years back called "Relax" (how embarrassing, a compilation and not a proper "work") - It's all relatively well known stuff but all essential. I do have a few old HMV cds too when they did their series on classical artists, I think I have Vaughan Williams, Allegri, Debussy and Grieg.

I have a few Classical Chillout albums - always a bit of Satie, Pachabel and Enio Morriconne plus Barber's Adagio for strings. I absolutely adore William Orbit's Pieces in a Modern Style album - it's a very trippy experience. I would also HIGHLY recommend Gorecki's Symphony no.3 (Symphony of Sorrowful songs). Extremely atmospheric and deep - it's very spiritually cleansing.

I've got William Orbit's album, it is a lovely listen.
Gorecki - is that who the Lamb song is named after then? (which I'm also very addicted to at the moment)
I'll look out for his work, I think I'll enjoy being cleansed!

I have on several occasions included it in my top 10 albums ever... Yes the Lamb song is inspired by Gorecki - although I don't think it samples it. Will check out at home though. That symphony no.3 was a rarity as it made the top 10 album chart in 1993 - which is astonishing for a classical record.

Well this version with Dawn Upshaw was the one that made the charts but there are several versions available - including several budget ones. You're bound to find it in your local HMV or classical style no problem. If you ever do get it let me know what you think. ;D
