Absolutely awesome for Kenny. Shame Sir Chris couldn't enter too or we would've got another medal in that event.

I've enjoyed the cycling - but some events have been rather odd and very tactical. The team events in the velodrome have been better than the individual ones.

The Algerian 1500m runner who stormed through the semi-finals last night (and seemed to make Steve Cram rather suspicious) has been thrown out of the games for not trying in the 800m heats this morning. He jogged through the first 200m, then pulled off the track. Steve Cram has been the worst commentator at the Olympics. Basically accusing someone of their performance being enhanced illegally despite the run being over 10 seconds off his personal best, and the top 9 in the next heat all running quicker, his complete refusal to even acknowledge Dwain Chambers is annoying and wholly embarrassing. Yes, he can have opinions but he works for the BBC, so at work he has to be impartial!

Kenny and Trott were utterly superb today. 3 Gold and 1 Silver at 24, there's every chance Kenny can at least match the current tallies of Hoy and Wiggins.

Mixed emotions about the uneven bars.
Great that Beth Tweddle got an Olympic medal before she retired but she really was capable of the Gold.
Great news for the Women's Hockey team. After looking on the ropes having to get a result against one of the hot favs for the Gold in The Netherlands a shock victory by the Japanese over the Chinese means GB qualify for the semis!

One of the worst performances of the Games.
Andy Baddeley in the 1500m in the 2nd semi after a slow first and with fastest loser spots going jogs round at the back of the pack on the inside asking ti get bixed in and looks totally disinterested.
Definitely something wrong with middel distance running in the UK among the men.

Some of the female shot putters are so scary looking. I wouldn't like coming face to face with them.

Does anyone know if Peter Charles is the first person to win Olympic gold for GB after previously competing at the Olympics for another country (in his case, Ireland)?

Seems like a lifetime ago now.
Britain's last medal in the showjumping was Ann Moore with Psalm in 1972. She had another top horse in April Love.
I had the hots for her and was gutted she missed out on gold.

Oh dear. Poor pole vault from Holly Bleasedale.
She was touted for a medal but just seen her go out early.

I hope things aren't starting to go wrong with team GB.
Perri Shakes-Drayton dosen't make the hurdles final.

Dai Greene 4th. A PB would've got him a medal...
Perri Shakes-Drayton gets into the final after all after Rosolova is DQ'd...

Disappointing night for GB in the athletics. I think no more gold medals for GB in athletics. Good wins in the cycling sprint and show-jumping.
Last day of track cycling tomorrow and men's 1500 metres. Olympics is winding down now.

I think no more gold medals for GB in athletics. . Don't rule out Robbie Grabarz tomorrow night - he looked really good in qualifying and he could do a Greg Rutherford. We still have Mo in the 5000m, too.

Perri Shakes-Drayton is out of the 400m hurdles final again after Rosolova won her appeal against her DQ.

That's my brother-in-law.
Apparently he was watching the Athletics while doing his dance chart.
Perri Shakes-Drayton is now out again after Rosalova was re-instated.
After the euphoria of Saturday night there is now a possibilty that the Athletics Team may not reach the target of 8 medals.
Should have had 3 girls in the 800m.

I'm not really bothered, given the success elsewhere but reaching the target could hinge on how fit Philips Idowu is. Is he injured or was he just trying to p*ss off the GB bosses? The girls who missed out on selection for the 800m (bar Jenny Meadows, who was injured) did so because they because they failed miserably when they needed to perform. Lynsey Sharp produced her best when it mattered and in that respect, earned her place in the squad.
