I look through your chart for contributions to my own. I guess I’m probably not the only one.
Andrew WK’s problem is a simple one. I guess it’s a good problem to have. His debut album, I Get Wet, was so extraordinarily good that it’s nigh on impossible to better it. As strong as ‘Ever Again’, the lead single track from ‘You’re Not Alone’, is, it still pales in comparison to the incredible title track and much of the rest of ‘I Get Wet’. Thanks for the compliment. No, there's nothing as great as Party Hard but it's still a shame that radio can't keep up with critics. Radio 1 are "too cool" and probably think he's outdated. Radio 2 are still probably thinking he's too "heavy" for their audience. 6 Music should have picked him up, though.

I'm not sure if you saw my countdown of my top 100 songs of 2017, but based on the sound of your #1 single and your enjoyment of Andrew WK, I have a feeling you might enjoy the song that topped that chart of mine. The artist is Direct Hit! and the song is called " Do The Sick". The Andrew WK influence is evident in its sound and the frontman has also spoken out about how big a fan he is. |

Editors peak 13 places higher than previous one (it had a number one single but album was poor, this one is good but singles aren't!), Young Fathers previously got to 15 and 13 respectively.

Bit late (but only by a week this time!). The opening track is a pop stormer. Still baffled that she gets ignored/excluded from Christian charts - currently only Details (here in remixed form) is charting in US. Maybe the fact she tends not to explicitly mention Jesus by name gets her excluded (in terms of UK the OCC has daft rules that only physical sales qualify for some of their genre charts). But the open-ended nature of her material is part of what makes it great. It can stand as great pop or enhanced great pop if you know the meaning.
