Well, bored at work I have strayed into this area of Haven for the first time despite having been here for 5 years!
It looks distinctly like no one else ever comes here either, but just in case... Ask me anything!

Glad you asked! Nothing at all to do with law enforcement, and I am in fact quite thin.
It all started in on a Sunday afternoon in June 1991, when, as a shy and impressionable 14 year old with a wide ranging singles collection and a heavy crush on Kylie Minogue, I was listening to the top 40 show on Radio 1 and I heard the following words:
"Now Sheriff Fatman started out in business as a granny farmer He was infamous for fifteen minutes then he appeared on Panorama"
And so began a genuine lifelong obsession with both indie music and left wing politics, although sadly the correct spelling of Sheriff still eluded me.
That's the long answer, the short one is that I'm named after a song by the mighty Carter USM.

Bet you were disappointed about the faller at #18 in that chart, but you still turned the song up to the Max.

Bet you were disappointed about the faller at #18 in that chart, but you still turned the song up to the Max. Not massively. The crush had existed ever since the 10 year old me felt stirrings of something I didn't fully understand after seeing her in the bath in the video to the wonderfully accurately titled I Should Be So Lucky. It didn't extend to unquestioning love of her music though - Shocked was pretty rubbish.

Why a Halloween avatar in the summer How's fatherhood treating you? Hmmm, I guess I don't pay much attention to my appearance on Haven, that's the only Avatar I've ever had. I will change it to something more summery immediately. Fatherhood is fantastic, every day something new. A few nights ago I went up to say goodnight to my oldest (he's 4) after his Grandad had read him a story and I found him on the bed using a pocket torch to check between his toes for fluff. They never cease to amaze you. His younger brother (9 months next week) is now waving at everyone, but is still refusing to sleep through the night. I will remind him of this when he's older.

I cant remember when ours started sleeping through the night but I know our eldest was walking by 9 months, think he was the worst for sleeping. Although I remember taking our daughter out in her pram to get her to go to sleep, which she would and then she'd wake up the moment you got home and stopped. Sam used to do the same in the car. They are hard work, but worth it in the long run, our son just got Player of the season in his football team (u14s) and our daughter is a rock climber. Both things I never achieved! Enjoy, because they really do grow up too quick, our 12 year old daughter seems to think she's 16! Nice avatar change, very summery, what size shoes are you?

Heres a few to start you off...
When does it stop being partly cloudy and start being partly sunny?
Are eyebrows considered facial hair?
Why do bad things happen to good people?
Why does my arm shake and turn bright red when im eating dirt?

Where are you from? Favourite sport? Favourite newspaper? I was born in 1977 into rural poverty deep in the heart of wealthy Cheshire. The contrast between my family's subsistance lifestyle and the Range Rover driving elite all around us was never lost on me, and I rose above my humble beginnings to gain a university education from a wonderful art college on the Cornish coast, and am now raising a family back in the North West while working in industrial gases. So Cheshire, to answer your first question. Second question - snooker. Third question - The Guardian.

Heres a few to start you off... When does it stop being partly cloudy and start being partly sunny? Well that's clearly a 'glass half full' type question - depends on your outlook in life. I have a sunny disposition.
Are eyebrows considered facial hair? They're on your face - why wouldn't they be?
Why do bad things happen to good people? I always think it's a flaw in the human psyche that for some reason we always seem to expect things to be fair, and we are shocked when unfair things happen to us, despite the fact that all around us there is continually evidence that life is not fair. In some ways I guess people only realise things when they experience them personally. It would be nice if bad things didn't happen to good people, or indeed to anyone, but to ask why they do seems a bit futile.
Why does my arm shake and turn bright red when im eating dirt? I wondered if I was missing something in relation to this question, so I Googled it, and was intrigued to find several long threads on things like Yahoo Answers posing the exact same question. Did you start them all?

when it is partly cloudy but intermittently sunny i always consider it to be partly cloudy as the cloud cover is the changing variable and the sun is always there, the weather forecast always choose one or the other yet they seem like the same thing too me.
as for eye brows being facial hair i tend to agree, although its odd how we as a society have made it socially unacceptable to have facial hair to the point we shave it all off, yet eyebrows have escaped this prejudice
your answer to the bad things question makes me want to employ you as my life coach
lol my final question i googled the most random yahoo question for you to ponder, i am not shaky, dirt eating red arm man

What is your favourite industrial gas? Oooh, toughest question yet! Although I'm not at all keen on helium, there is a lot to be said for both argon and oxygen. On reflection though, I think I'd have to choose nitrogen. In it's liquid form it does quite exciting things that can be demonstrated to school science classes, and I love that most of its uses as a gas are thanks to what it doesn't do rather than what it does. Hope that helps.

helium is amazing for medical science though, as apposed to it's other use, namely single mothers wasting it because they think making 200 balloons float a bit will make up for the kids father being driven away by their intolerable personality

Have you watched any of the World Cup?
If so, who would you nominate as the best player of the tournament thus far?
