I have to say Sam Matterface and Andy Townsend have been far less annoying than usual during this match, though that could be because I have headphones in.

Matterface's commentaries in the last World Cup were embarrassingly bad. So far he has avoided any major gaffes.

That goal by Modric was a stunner, Croatia really good on paper I was expecting more goals from them though, I think with Spain and Czech Republic, this is a tough group.

Matterface's commentaries in the last World Cup were embarrassingly bad. So far he has avoided any major gaffes. I often heard him on Talksport last season commentating on the evening Premier League game whilst driving back from an away match (the only time I ever listen to Talksport) and he was still awful. And to make matters worse, he had Collymore alongside him...

Can't say I've seen every game, but going by the ones I have and the highlights shows (apart from Saturday which I didn't watch) I would say so. Largely forgettable and I was a bit disappointed by Northern Ireland. It looked like they came for a 0-0 draw and never looked like scoring. They're my sweepstake team at work and I was quietly hopeful they might get through the group. They still may but it looks tough now, which given their disappointment after the game I suspect they may feel too. Didn't think Norwood (Reading midfielder) had a bad game though.
Annoying their next game is on Thursday in the 5pm slot. I'll be catching up with the England-Wales game then (hopefully without finding out the score first, which I suspect may be trickier than I first thought). At least it's on ITV so there's always the +1 option but not sure how much i'll get to see.

We already have one fan dead , one in an induced coma and countless others hospitalised. What are they waiting for? 99% of the violence is outside the grounds as the Ultras who have gone over to battle don't have tickets because they are not football fans, just hooligans

My son insists that even if the trouble is outside the ground, ie at the bars, that teams will be kicked out, I thought Uefa had no control/power outside the actual ground?

Well we were threatened with expulsion and all we did in the ground was sit there and get kicked in the face or ran away

With Slovakia beating Russia this afternoon, a win for Wales against England would mean they have won the group.
A draw would mean Wales can't finish bottom, while England will be guaranteed a top 3 finish with a win.

Surprises of the tournament so far:
The standard of refereeing generally being very good.
Craig Bellamy actually talking a lot of sense as a pundit.
