Not much of a cliffhanger, I was expecting someone major to become a cropper, but it was pretty tense all the way, but I loved the episode, it was very gripping.

Not much of a cliffhanger? Carl is going to DIE! Total move away from the comics there. Rest of the ep. was very disjointed. Negan wants Rick, the King and the Widow, so of course, Maggie would be sent back to Hilltop to be a good girl Rather than taken to Sanctuary and the rest sent back to Hilltop, sets it up for the fightback, or Last Stand I guess. Eugene has a massive about turn to free the doctor and Gabey, why? On the subject of Gabriel, he was ill because he smeared himself in walker blood? So there's no chance that that gives him some sort of immunity to walker bites in the future? Thought his blood might therefore be useful to Carl, but as the actor has left, it seems that Carl will die I know he's divided opinion in the past, but I always saw the kids as the future, so if they start killing them off, then it's all getting a bit nihilistic.

Oh and I do get annoyed by the size of Negan's "army", in the past he used people from the outposts to bolster his numbers, but they were taken out or taken prisoner, therefore all he had were the people at the Sanctuary? And yes I know we don't know how many are there, but I've always assumed about 50, Negan did some big speech in front of them at one point. Anyway assume 50, around 5 got taken out by the walkers coming into the compound? = 45, at least 15 surrounded Maggie and delivered their message = 30, 10 at the Hilltop taking Ezekiel? = 20, 8 at the back gate of Alexandria killed by various members = 12, some left at the Sanctuary as guards = 2, then everyone that comes through the front door at Alexandria = -28. They don't add up, but what can you do...

I have mixed feelings about Carl being killed off. I think I only disliked the character because of how awful the performance has been by the actor. But happy to not see him on the screen for much longer.

Well that was emotional But it drag on a bit. The flashback to the future at the ending had me stunned and confused.

I did like Carl - being young he brought a different dimension to the whole situation. But I respect his decision as an actor to try some new roles.
I watched the episode - was trying to stay focused and not get distracted. It was a little sad seeing Carl go at the end. Not a bad episode, but not amazing either. One of those "have to get through / have to be done" episodes.

There was just no need for it to drag on so much.
If end of this series doesn't pick up a bit, I'll be letting this show go

It didn't drag on at all, maybe they should have just mercied him in the start credits? And from what has been said in the press it wasn't his decision to leave. As for the other glimpse of Rick bleeding having been shot or stabbed, what does it mean, but sadly it's not going to go peaceful from now on. Oh and another 12 of Negans men were wiped out for no losses, but he still has the numbers apparently...

Yowzahs that was a great episode! Things are finally moving on. Loved seeing the female hidden tribe again. Loved the junk people bit with Simon - she can finally form complete sentences lol. Can't believe they left her behind despite her misjudgement. And all that Rick n Negan stuff at the end... very interesting.
And let's not forget that helicopter from a few episodes ago - that's still unexplained.

They talked of a helipad at the dump didn't they? Personally I didn't think it was great, dumpster people have brought nothing to show except how to run away, do very little and talk in stilted sentences, amazing how many more of them there were once they were dead though, if only they'd used those numbers effectively, take out Simon's group, and then take out the next group that comes, Negan cant keep sustaining losses of 12-20 men. Although apparently he can.

Yes the helipad was mentioned which is why I remembered the helicopter.
I wasn't keen on the junkyard people either, but what I meant was that the scene was great... or unexpected... Simon opening fire like that. I was like WTF! Plus Negan still has no idea what Simon did, so lots of little things going on.

Yeah Simon going against the plan is going to cause ructions in the future no doubt, will his men stick with Simon, or back Negan when the sh hits the fan and there's a showdown? Who's left of Negan's lieutenants? Most are dead or captured or changed sides haven't they now?

Yep - just a whole lot of nothingness really. Not really a bad episode, but just not a lot of action - which is also fine. And because there are so many story arcs and I forget which group is where, I had no idea why everyone at the hilltop was crying lol. But after a minute or two I realised it must've been cos of Karl's death. Anyway at least Rick has returned so we can get things moving.

It was the fact Enid was suddenly back at Hilltop which surprised me, but they always do this. The Saviors have Hilltop covered, but are letting people wander back in at will, and the whole story with the priest and the doctor, I thought straightaway, we have another doctor now, so he's a goner. Yet he could have pulled the gun, shot the guy and then seen who else he could shoot, there were just 4 of them. Same with Dwayne, once he had a gun, he could easily have shot 2 or 3 of them, and let Grumpy take out the rest, but no, the story is for him to go back into the Saviors. And as for Eugene suggesting a catapult to throw zombies into Hilltop, when Negan tips up there next week, he'd better not have a catapult built already! Those things take time!

Haha - yes Enid did make a speedy return. And why on earth did they (Enid and Aaron) leave each other in the first place? In a post apocalyptic world I would never want to be left alone and I certainly wouldn't leave a teenage girl alone either. Unless they're all seasoned survivors and know the lay of the land now, who knows.
I actually tune out when Eugene speaks, so I totally missed his catapult suggestion - which sounds absurd.

I do think the priest and his "illness" might have a wider implication further down the line, now we have Sayid as the new doctor promising to make a difference in memory of Carl, I'm wondering if somehow the priest is now immune to walker bites, and therefore potentially a vaccine could be made. There's been plenty of chances to just kill him, and they haven't, so I think there must be an importance to him, and he does keep talking about seeing the light or the way or something, so it's being inferred a little. Just thought I'd put that out there.
