I do think the priest and his "illness" might have a wider implication further down the line, now we have Sayid as the new doctor promising to make a difference in memory of Carl, I'm wondering if somehow the priest is now immune to walker bites, and therefore potentially a vaccine could be made. There's been plenty of chances to just kill him, and they haven't, so I think there must be an importance to him, and he does keep talking about seeing the light or the way or something, so it's being inferred a little. Just thought I'd put that out there. That's an interesting theory about the priest. You could be on to something there.

Interesting and possible theory - yes. However I always thought they added the priest cos middle-America felt the show lacked any religious input. The first few seasons were very atheist in thinking, then it suddenly all changed to include more faith.

It's just become a series of coincedences and they call it a storyline...

One thing those 3 new characters added nothing apart from knowledge to build windmills etc etc, I found it drifting off elsewhere.
The pace of the action was really good between Negan and Rick, and the ending of the episode did not see that coming, what will she do to him after he killed all her people.

After Simon's betrayal maybe he'll be the leader of the Saviours and Negan will go on to the "good" side.

I think Simon is set to die at some point, which would leave Dwayne in charge, and then they'd swap sides. We might at least be getting a battle though. The Negan/Jadis ending just so contrived it's terrible, as for Rick and Negan "fighting", we all knew neither of them would be a goner, it's just terrible, Rick runs out of bullets, then sets fire to Lucille which gives Negan a chance to charge him, rubbish. The chance of Rick's car taking out Negan, who happens to be at the end of the convoy, in a car, which we've never seen him do, the lost goes on and on...

Oh ho ho... what a great episode! Almost felt like the old school Walking Dead with the walkers running rampant inside. I wish they'd move out of the Hilltop actually - not keen on the setting there.

Nice result and I knew Eugene was playing them all the time, strange ending though with Maggie, and I thought they would explain the helicopter at the end, that's been making a few appearances in a few episodes this season.

Eugene had me fooled, he did what I hoped he would, but I really thought he'd turned against them. Maggie and Daryl at the end fair enough, but Jesus the most reasonable person there, that was daft. Anybody see the two references for the enemy in the next season?

OMG, what an episode, one of the best so far this series. Personally I don't think we seen the last of Rick with that twist at the end. And the time jump introducing an older Judith Grimes wtf was that, and introducing some new characters. I really enjoyed this episode and bring on the Whisperers. uk.ign.com/articles/2018/07/25/the-walking-dead-the-whisperers-explained

Are we staying in the future or back to the present though? Shame an explosion sucked Rick I to the river rather than blow him into the trees, but you can't have everything. Rick is going to be in three feature length movies, be interesting to see how they go.
