Also, if Harrogate do go up, they will have to rip their artificial pitch up and put a grass one down in time for next season starting as the backwards EFL still doesn't allow them. This is despite them being used in the Champions League, international qualifiers, Women's World Cup etc.

Still disagree with how they ended the non league season. Read an interview with one of the Slough managers last month and he thought it was unlikely there would be any non league football until next year.
Also, heard today that the relegation issue from L2 is further complicated by the fact they don't know yet whether the National League will be playing next season.

I would be surprised if the lower leagues played before Christmas. They can't play behind closed doors because without the income of fans paying to watch games they would lose too much money and very few would be able to survive. The relegation from League Two is conditional on the National League confirming next season will go ahead as normal.

The other thing with the league 2 relegation is that the EFL are trying their best to kick Macclesfield out by taking points off them, so they are below Stevenage. They are taking points off them for not fulfilling fixtures because players haven't been paid, funny last season Bury players weren't paid, but played their fixtures, because they wanted promotion, a promotion they gained, and then went pop! I understand clubs must be punished for not paying wages or playing games, but it is usually a dodgy owner trying to get out of paying bills, so by taking points off them, you are punishing the players and the fans, and not really the owner, who will sell and leave the club floundering! Harrogate will pull up their artificial pitch if they get promotion, as I know they put in a request to do that last season when they made the playoffs. Real shame as it generates so much money for the club, which is what they need, as their crowds struggle around 1300, and the rich owner bankrolls them. Think Simon Weaver has been there over 10 years now as player/manager, and even though his dad is the owner, he has made the playoffs in the Conference North before promotion up, and finished 6th last season as well as 2nd this season, so he more than justifies the job.

All the more reason why they should have given more consideration to the idea of having calendar-year seasons for 2021 and 2022.

Most of the friendlies are top secret, the west ham game wasn't even listed and they wouldn't even report it on the club website, the score was only leaked by a club insider

It seems to vary from club to club. Some have been very hush-hush, while other clubs have actually uploaded highlights though I think there's been little, if any, advertising of the games beforehand.

Did anyone see the fans got onto the roof of one of the Portuguese stadiums and watched the match. They let off flares etc.
And they think we're the only ones who'd cause issues...

I'd heard one fan hired a cherry picker type thing, so he could watch the game over the roof of the stand? I was watching plucky Portimonense come back and draw 2-2 with Benfica, and there were some definate noises that sounded like fans outside the ground. Guess we will wait and see what happens here when the games go ahead.

It's gorgeous down there, but Portimao is a bit built up, we used to go to the west of Albufeira and it was a bit quieter, didn't the Portuguese say we sould go out there? Just have a 2 week "quarantine" when you get back!

Portugal are trying to get a bridge with the UK to entice brits to holiday there this summer. UK Govt haven't seemed to be quite so quick to negotiate.
