No comments about Gary Linekar's suspension from MOTD after speaking out about the govt policy on "small boats" and immigration, speaking on his own twitter account and as a freelancer.

MOTD to air without a presenter or pundits tomorrow after pretty much everyone, starting with Ian Wright, announced they wouldn't appear.

Mass hypocrisy from the BBC of course, given the number of officials in top jobs who have links to the Conservative Party and the fact people like Andrew Neil (who was excellent in his BBC roles) and Alan Sugar (he can stick the "Lord" part up his hoop) have publicly expressed support for right wing politicians and policies without action or intervention from the BBC.

A number of BBC commentators have put out a joint statement to say they won't be working on MOTD tomorrow either! MOTD likely to carry world feed commentary instead from the likes of Jim Proudfoot, Peter Drury and Pien Meulensteen.

Alex Scott has pulled out of presenting Football Focus today. Reporter Kelly Somers has confirmed she won't be appearing on TV either today.

Football Focus and Final Score both cancelled on BBC TV today. On 5 Live, Mark Chapman has chosen not to appear and the production team of Fighting Talk (including host Colin Murray) chose not to do the show this morning.

MOTD will be a strange one tonight. The programme will only air for 20 minutes with no match commentaries from what I can deduce.

(Apologies to John Bishop for lifting his gag) I'm all for one in showing solidarity in support of Gary Lineker today, but I think Liverpool FC took it a bit too far. Especially with Mo Salah & that penalty.

Breaking news that Antonio Conte has left Spurs. After his post-match rant last week against players, fans and the board, I'm surprised he has lasted this long.

Mourinho and Conte were serial winners, where do they go from here?
If Spurs lost Harry Kane where would they be!!

Spurs would be where they were before their brief run into the occasional top 4.
It's all about big money and big spending and Spurs won't achieve because their owner won't do that. Mourinho and Conte won things at clubs with much bigger budgets (including Chelsea).

Do we not think levy might actually be the issue?

Levy is a genius. He has pesuaded the football world that Spurs are a big 6 club, when they patently aren't. They are in the same league as the likes of West Ham, Villa, Leeds and Everton, and yet people still treat them as if they are a rival to Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool.

Of course it's a problem at all levels when there's "silly money" about that is needed to be competitive and which most clubs just don't have.
It's just the same in League One.
And the National League which Wrexham have pretty much "bought".
We need proper FFP that is really enforced. No more massively rich sponsors / owners. No more parachute payments because they're unfair. And most players will have to take a massive wage-cut although a lot of the money will come from TV. I remember back in the 80s they were scared to televise games because it was going to reduce the income from fans coming to games, and at the start of the 1985-86 season there was a TV blackout.
This has to be Europe-wide of course, can't just be in the UK.

Rodgers sacked this morning and now Chelsea have sacked Potter. I think that's 13 managerial changes in the Premier League this season by 11 different clubs.
