37 Jason Donovan - Another Night
Here we go again, it's barely any different from his last appearance, although it does have a distinctly worse chorus and really naff backing vocals. It also broke his run of top 10 hits, does that mean this is nearly over...some chance. It reached #18 in the UK.

36 Bizz Nizz - Don't Miss the Partyline
I am way more tolerant of house and rave music than most and I enjoy a lot of it. This one though I just never got it, the hook isn't anything special. There is just nothing interesting about it at all. Just so boring and if anything this music should not be boring. Somehow this went all the way to #7 in the UK. Baffled.

Looking forward to The Millennium Prayer.
Loved Saviour's Day for Cliff - much better than Mistletoe.

35 New Kids On The Block - Hangin' Tough
For some this maybe too low but they have much worse to come, it is all relative. This song is a bit annoying but at least it is catchy and not total cringe. It was of course a number one record in the UK and US and was their best-selling single.

34 SNAP! - Cult Of Snap!
Bit of an easy target and as we know Snap can be good, they have at least 2 great singles but most of the time, their music just screams of desperation, they just have no idea most of the time. But don't worry they have worse to come. This was a number 8 hit for them in the UK.

33 Sonia - End of the World
Trying to order Sonia songs omg, am I in hell. But like Jason Donovan before we are slightly kinder to this one as it is a fairly straight cover that is not just factory produced torture. I do wish this is the last time I hear this though. It reached #18 in the UK.

32 Bros - Madly in Love
Another band that their time is up, the only song they released in 1990 and it is terrible. It is 10x worse than their previous singles from this record, yes it is that bad. It reached #14 in the UK.

31 Timmy T - Time After Time
Who? Ok I guess he isn't well known here but he was a big freestyle star in the US, a very short-lived genre. You may know his big hit "One More Try" which will for sure be on the 1991 list. Some of this music has been bad, this is bad in so many ways. He is a terrible singer, the production was dated even in 1990, the song is just bland even the video is awful. It reached #40 in the US.

When many people heard Rhythm Of The Rain and End Of The World they had probably never heard the Cascades of Skeeter Davis versions and unlike now you caouldn't just grab the old version from online to hear how the original sounded.
Maybe that's why there were so many hit cover versions back then?

41. Jason Donovan - Hang On To Your Love... 47 Rhythm Of The Rain I wondered at this point if S/A/W had had enough of working with Jason Donovan and were giving him inferior songs and covers to do. Pete Waterman said in interviews that he wasn't a great singer. That he got "Too Many Broken Hearts" was probably the luck that they'd written it for Rick Astley who wanted to move on to writing his own songs so he was around to sing it instead, as they didn't have a suitable male vocalist to sing it at the time. Similarly Sonia was given "End Of The World" at the time and she also had other hits with cover versions. Appears they were saving their best for Kylie whose output got better this year. RSVP suggests a third album was on the way, just “his” sound wasn’t what SAW wanted - so they took a bunch of recordings and made a Greatest Hits instead. And personally love Hang On To Your Love.

30 Rita MacNeil - Working Man
Lets get back on this, i am not sure if this is terrible, it just feels very wrong in 1990, it sounds like something from the charts in 1975. Just something i don't want to hear, these kind of MOR folk songs not for me. Interesting that she actually has been releasing music since 1975. The Canadian singer reached #11 in the Uk with this.

29 UB40 - Wear You To The Ball
Just reuse everything I said for the last UB40 song, it does try to sound more contemporary with its ragga break but it is very uncomfortable. Leave it to Shaggy and Shabba. This reached #35 in the Uk, "Chikabow chickabow!!" oh dear.

28 Jam Tronik - Another Day in Paradise
Lazy assed cover of the Phil Collins song with a speeded up Sydney Youngblood style beat to it. She isn't even a good singer. It even has "Oh Yeahs" in it which automatically ranks you in my hate list if you still use that sample in 1990!! It reached #19 in the UK.

27 Sinitta - Hitchin' A Ride
I am not an automatic Sinitta hater think some of her songs are quite fun. This wasn't a great song in the first place and this soulness weak effort does nothing to change this. Just lacks the sexiness that makes Sinitta stand out from the SAW production mill. It reached #24 in the UK.

How are they still a thing??? Nothing more to say, this reached #4 in the UK.
