47 Mixmasters- The Night Fever Megamix
Megamixes they just need to stop, they are a plague, thankfully we are pretty much in peak end game of the pathetic craze. This is actually played pretty straight and is maybe not worse than 'Bare Necessities'. This reached #23 in the UK.

46 Bros - Are You Mine?
Still hanging on in 1991 and this will be their final top 20 hit, they are just boring now. Better to be annoying or great but boring, the end is near. This reached #12 in the UK.

45 Diana Ross - When You Tell Me That You Love Me
Unlike most songs on this list, this isn't bad, it's just one of the last kinds of music I would ever listen to. It is possibly the most syrupy ballad she has ever done and that is a big claim. File next to Barbra Streisand for me, fine if you like this sort of thing. And many people loved it as it reached #2 in the UK, not a hit in the US though.

44 Crystal Waters - Gypsy Woman (She's Homeless) (La Da Dee La Da Da)
A bit of a dance anthem and it has a lot of positives but it is so also so annoying. Take out the (La Da Dee La Da Da) parts and this would be a 7/10 song, the lyrics will still be a bit odd though. A huge hit as well reaching #2 in the UK and #8 in the US.

43 Take That - Promises
First appearance for Take That and don't worry there will be plenty more over the next few years. This video is so super cringe and the song is not their worst by any stretch but based on this, it was not clear they were going to be the biggest band in the country within 2 years. This reached a rather miserable #38 in the UK.

42 Vanilla Ice - Satisfaction
Not the worst Vanilla Ice track, decent use of the Rolling Stones sample this time but it is the same old stuff, go away now. This reached #22 in the Uk, teh rest of the world was already does with him.

41 MC Hammer, Saja - 2 Legit 2 Quit
I had to keep fast forwarding the video, to see if an actual song starts and it kind of does but really MC Hammer does barely anything on this, it's just a dance mini movie. Just nothing music. This somehow reached #5 in the US but rightfully flopped here peaking at #60

40 Michael W. Smith - Place In This World
I should like this but it is just not AOR enough, it is just one of the worst examples of the genre and shows that by 1991, it was well past its sell by date. He isn't very good either. Ahh it's Christian rock that explain it. It reached #6 in the US.

39 The Simpsons - Do The Bartman
This could have been much worse, ibut t was just so overplayed at the time, 'Deep Deep Trouble' was much better. This should have been funny and It's just really lazy. It's sub DJ Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince. It was of course a UK #1.

38 Jason Donovan - R.S.V.P.
The last SAW collab for Jason and it does sound a bit more modern but really it's just a poor knock off of 'Instant Replay'. It reached #17 in the UK.

37 Marky Mark And The Funky Bunch - Wildside
His worst song is of course still to come but the whole Marky Mark thing was awful and thankfully but bigger in the US than here. Think he shodul maybe try acting as rap is not his thing. This reached #10 in the US and just #42 here.

36 Hi-Five - I Like the Way (The Kissing Game)
Another dreadful RNb boy band from the US, they were so desperate to find the next big thing, so much of this trash was thrown at the public and most had one huge hit and were never heard of again. They are actually not one of the worst, if you were an 8 year old girl, this would probably be amazing. This was a US number one but just #43 here. Seems that we are getting less in tune, in this pop era. I feel it is because our dance music is in a much different place.

35 Gerardo - Rico Suave
After 1991 I paid much less attention to the US charts but I will try and leep bringing you rightfully forgotten gems like this. OMG commercial rap was in a horrid place. The rapping style is from 1982 and kudos for adding Spanish rapping which to be fair is better as I can at least not know what the terrible lyrics are. This is super cringe. This reached #7 in the US. Bring back Bart!

34 Michael Bolton - When a Man Loves a Woman
Speaking of super cringe. Nobody needs or asked for this. Stop it with the Boltonized covers, they are nearly all awful. I don't mind Michael Bolton and when he rocks, he can be really great. But I just have to skip any of these if they come on TOTP. Can't we have more songs like 'How Can We Be Lovers'. This was sadly a US number one and reached #8 here. Just pathetic.

33 MC Hammer - They Put Me In The Mix
Of course they did as its 1991. What I love about these lists, they are to remind people that the charts have always had terrible stuff in them. This is actually an old song that has been reissued and remixed it reached #20 in the UK.

32 Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers - Rock n Roll Party Mix
Its 1991, why are these still coming out. Thank goodness we have a bit of a musical shakeup in 1992 and it's goodbye to all these damn megamixes, well there will still be some but much much less. They are not even trying anymore this could be 'Swing The Mood'. It was thankfully their last chart appearance at #48 in the UK.

31 Vanilla Ice - Rollin' In My 5.0 - Live
Sigh, great sample though then 20 seconds later it is back to everything you expect. He has done much worse I guess. This reached #27 in the UK.

Now I would normally stop at #31 but my subconscious guilted me this morning. 30 Dannii Minogue - Baby LoveYes I had a dream this morning that Danni Minoque was my girlfriend, yes we were both this age so that's fine and it was all very wholesome. So yes I have been very harsh, thank you subconcious, this does not deserve to be above the previous songs. Sorry Danni. So please ignore this, this is a 5/10 song not a 3/10. It shouldn't even be on my long list Oh and it reached #14 in the UK. So does that mean we are on for a sequel.....
