ok we are now in worse than Jive Bunny territory although we are not done with them
24 Sonia - Counting Every Minute
OMG this is worse than I remembered, she sounds awful as usual but this has 'Woo Heys!!' another No No for 1990. Jumping on the house sample bandwagon now will not save you, it just makes you sound even more cringey. And we have the best example of that coming much later. This reached #16 in the UK

23 SNAP! - Ooops Up
Howecan you screw this song up??? Well SNAP! manage very easily. It is kinda ok until Turbo B comes in. At least Thea Austin can sing, maybe been a bit harsh on this one. It reached #5 in the UK and #35 in the US.

22 Yell - Instant Replay
I am not harsh on this one, if anything it should be higher. OMG it is horrible. I quite like Dan Hartman but this was never one of my favourites of his hits but this terrible PWL version, is pure pain. It reached #10 in the UK. I see they did a cover of "One Thing Leads to Another" Love that song, will I risk hearing their version??? Oh its not a cover but its not as horrible as this either.

21 Perfect Gentleman - Ooh La La (I Can't Get Over You)
Back to the US charts for some ultra sugary rnb/hip hop boy band action. I think they were trying to make the new, New Edition but this makes 'Candy Girl' look like Michael Jackson in comparison. I can't bare this, it is so bad. Ahh that's exactly what they are from the great visionary who brought us New Editioan nd New Kids. This reached #10 in the US.

Befoe we go into the top 20, I can announce I have my next list ready for 1991, well it may need a little reordering but with a long list of 117 songs, the top half should be pretty bad. The top 2 wre nailed on and there are some real horrors that I had long forgotten up there.
20 SNAP! - Mary Had A Little Boy
The final appearance for SNAP!, the instrumental of this would be fine but the actual song is dreadful and the rap is of course even worse. One of the ultimate examples of rushing out a single after an unexpected huge hit, in fact you can say that about all the other hits of their debut album. This reached #8 in the UK.

19 MC Hammer - Have You Seen Her
We of course gave his debut hit the miss of this list as it is a classic but what on earth is this cover of the Chi-lites hit supposed to be. This horror reached #4 in the US and #8 in the UK.

18 Kyper - Tic Tac Toe
Back to the US chart and this might actually be a grower, I like it a lot more this time but I was graetly offended by the use of "Owner of a Lonely Heart". This is better than the last two songs to be fair, same kind of lines as Tone Loc. This rap hit reached #14 in the US.

17 Jive Bunny & The Mastermixers | Can Can You Party
How do you make the 2nd worst Jive Bunny song of the year well you start with the 'Can Can' and try to mix it into 'Daddy Cool'. An AI could have done a better job of making a Jive Bunny record than this mess. It is so badly compiled, please stop! This reached #8 in the Uk, their last top 10 hit, small mercies.

16 Vanilla Ice - Play That Funky Music
Proving that you can't always get away with the same trick twice, well to be fair it still sold loads. But it is terrible, again it's not just his rap which lacks the humour and bite of his debut. It is the lazy production, and the sample is just not used as well as it could have been. This could have been pretty good, it isn't. It reached #10 in the UK and #4 in the US, Wikipedia makes it look like this came out first there, didn't remember that.

15 New Kids On The Block - Let's Try It Again
This has a live video but won't bother with that, this is another drippy wet schmaltzy ballad, they should have just given up. US agreed as it only got to #53 there but for some reason we still care about them in the UK, this reached #8 here.

14 New Kids On The Block - Tonight
This isn't a ballad, not really sure what it is, a musical song, a glee song, I dunno, whatever it is I don't want to hear it again. This reached #7 in the US and #3 in the UK, oh just got it think they think this is a Beatles song.......

13 F A B, MC Parker - Thunderbirds Are Go (Pressure Mix) [feat. MC Parker]
Been a little harsh on this as at least it puts a smile on your face and is very well constructed unlike most Jive Bunny songs but it does have 'Woo Heys' which makes you a 3/10 instantly. But they are great themes and the samples are so well-chosen. It reached #5 in the UK.

12 Bell Biv DeVoe - Do Me!
'Poison' was a very solid New Jack Swing hit but after playing a bit of this, I had to make this very high. The lyrics are so cringe, is it supposed to be sexy, if I was a girl, i would just laugh and walk away if I heard any of this nonsense. The production was also top notch on 'Poison' this is all over the place but really it is the cringe, it is unbearable. This reached #3 in the US but quite rightfully flopped reaching #56

So just the top 10 to look forward to on Easter Monday.
Some clues, we have two covers, two new versions of old songs with the original artists and amazingly only one SAW production. There are also several chart toppers from the US and UK.

27 Sinitta - Hitchin' A Ride
I am not an automatic Sinitta hater think some of her songs are quite fun. This wasn't a great song in the first place and this soulness weak effort does nothing to change this. Just lacks the sexiness that makes Sinitta stand out from the SAW production mill. It reached #24 in the UK. The video is beyond awful - but this is a fabulous Sinitta song! It’s one of my favourites from her.

Tonight by New Kids On The Block really needs to be flushed. It just doesn’t work in any shape or form.
