It's already been mentioned on page 1 when when thisthread was created, but after not being on here for some time I'd like to reaffirm my loyalty to Sunderland. Ha'way the lads!
Because it's the nearest team to where the French half of the family are from, I also keep an eye out for Nantes, but it's gotten harder since they were relegated to Ligue 2

Following the mighty tractor boys is not boring. 5-3 win being 2-0 down.

Guess that means Jewell should keep his job for a while, although i'm baffled at the run that Ipswich have been on recently anyway.
Hoping to go to the Ipswich home game on NYE and could see him being sacked the week or so before that game the way things were going, as thats whats happened to the opposition manager for a Reading game i'm attending on a couple of occasions!

He needs to win a few more in a row get back to mid table but yes, job is safe for this week. Great comeback, need to buy Andrews from Blackburn, instead of on loan. Captain's performance!

Ipswich's squad is full of has-beens on high (for NPC) wages with nothing at all to prove. When you look at teams that have gone up/down in recent years I don't really find it surprising they're down there.

I do agree. I was and still am a bit worried on Jewell's buying tactics. JET has attitude problems, always has, Chopra only after was his gambling known, so can't fault Jewell. Ellington never has done anything. Bullard showed us last season he has motivation still. Bowyer is quite consistent. Edwards is now old school Ipswich, still has the motivation though. The loanees are good though, stockdale, andrews, collins.

What have you made of Ingimarsson and Sonko since they joined? Ingi has been injured quite a lot hasn't he?
If Ingi plays against us he's going to get some reception, never been a massive fan of his but he is a Reading legend. Not sure what reception Sonko would get though!

We've got a few as well, Derbyshire is useless and Miller is a walking sicknote, Boateng is a pointless addition, McClaren wanted Danny Collins on loan but he's on almost 30k a week at Stoke and they wanted at least half of that which we refused to pay. I'm glad we did as we can't afford it. Not really sure what's happening with us at the moment. If we were clnical we'd have eased to 6 points in the last two games but instead we have 0. Next week is away to Bristol City. Huge, absolutely huge.

I like Sonko, a needed player in our defence, tall, strong, quick. Ingi needs to play more before I pass comment.

Chelsea (but not a Johnny Come Lately) since the 1970s. They the 'local team' for you in Sloane Square?

Swansea for me since I was 16!, that's nine years of supporting them through a few highs and lows, but mostly highs!.

Thanks very much! , hope to enjoy my time here and it looks a very busy forum, which I like!. Nearly dropped into the Conference, stayed up on the final day, now look!. When we played our first Prem match against Man City, it felt really weird travelling away to such a huge ground after the likes of Barnsley, Preston etc, now it feels like we're part of it and no longer small fish in a big pond, whch that first game felt like!. If Wigan at home was the first, the Premier League debut wouldn't have felt like that!.

Because it's the nearest team to where the French half of the family are from, I also keep an eye out for Nantes, but it's gotten harder since they were relegated to Ligue 2 how the mighty have fallen!!, nearly undefeated in 1994/95 winning the title with one defeat, which was to Strassbourg, then down to Ligue 2?!. Ironically Strassbourg are in a similar situation and if they got promoted back to Ligue 1 a few seasons ago, where they were well clear in the promotion race only to tire out and see Bologne go up, I bet they would have had one of the worse Ligue 1 records the following season, going by the fact they went down that season from Ligue 2 to the Regional divisions!.

Last year I added a new team to the list of teams I support after I really got into the Bundesliga last autumn. So, to join Sunderland and Nantes, there is now Borussia Mönchengladbach.
