Much to the disgust of my family and friends I was a big Eurovision fan for years. However I have lost a lot of interest in the past few years. The voting system is a joke and anyone who thinks politics doesn't play a part is seriously deluded.
That said the best part is probably now the British contest to choose our selection and I thought Daz Sampson was brilliant last year.

Hawkins & Brown should be selected. I'd still have preferred Morrissey.

I think the whole thing looks like a fix for Hawkins and Brown which hubby actually likes.
Five way split in the family. Scooch is awful. It's time to go back to the past - my vote is going to Cyndi - a real class song.

Reckon Hawkins will win it but Scooch SHOULD. The BBC graphics people need shooting. "12.5p from every vote goes to Children In Need." It's Comic Relief actually!!

I've heard Harvey is a shoe in... Hahahahaha I'm nominating that one for quote of the week What do you mean? Scooch were absolute class, camp as a row of tents, absolutely fabulous "Would you like something to suck on while landing sir/" Harvey was awful, he's going home Dont rate the Hawkins song either, ballad was dullish, but I tell you, a ballad will win this year Big Brovaz ok, but wont win. Can someone shoot Terry Wogan please?

Brian Harvey looks almost suicidal... and Justin Hawkins is NOT happy, almost threw his toys out of the pram.

the songs are all terrible scooch has the gimmick and is certainly cheesy, but it's totally joyless, vacuous cheese, almost for the sake of it... the cyndi song is better, but i don't think she's quite got the ability to pull it off. also, she's french

the songs are all terrible You sound surprised, it IS Eurovision we're talking about. yeah but they're not even in the "so bad it's good" category that i've come to expect from eurovision... that factor has always made it entertaining to watch, for me at least. these songs are just awful. not even comically awful, just... EURRRRGGGH
