Its looking like the Championship is stronger this season than it was last season as the Top 3 is stronger than last seasons Top 3. No one got a thrashing last season, AFAIK anyway, but already this season both Wolves and Reading have thumped teams. Both the teams we thrashed were in the top half. In fact following Swansea's last two impressive wins both teams are currently in the top 10! Also, Paul Merson may not be the best pundit but he does seem to be right when he said that QPR would be hot and cold this season. They're definitely going through a cold spell atm!

Sunday, 1.15 pm. Great result for you at Palace on Tuesday. Now you just need to start winning at home. It doesn't say much for the standard of League 1 last season though when 2 of the 3 promoted teams are in the bottom 3. From reading our forum Doncaster (along with QPR) are the best team to have visited the Mad Stad this season. Can only assume its because of their massive shortage of goals that they're in the bottom 3, they haven't conceded many..They've scored less than Forest and thats saying something!

I do think it's because the best three teams didn't come up. Leeds got a lot more points than us and Carlisle were better until Garner got injured. I was really pleased we won at Palace, I can only see us continuing to grow now. We've struggled for goals because no one's been in the team capable of scoring them. Now we have Anderson, McGugan, Earnshaw and Garner all fit we'll start to pick up points, and Camp is a much better keeper than Smith. I found this article on a Derby site earlier, it's rather pleasing to get so much praise from a Derby County journalist! therams.co.uk/stories/joking-aside-calderwoods-classy-forest-could-prove-serious-threat

I'm not sure I've ever seen such an eventful and controversial final minute of a game.
Stuart Atwell is a joke The next big ref? More like worst than Rob Styles!

I'm not sure I've ever seen such an eventful and controversial final minute of a game. Stuart Atwell is a joke The next big ref? More like worst than Rob Styles! Didn't see the game but have heard about what happened, just about managed to get my head around it! Attwell was the ref who awarded our "phantom" goal at Watford but i was actually quite impressed with him in the Forest-Reading game at the start of the season, although tbf he didn't have a lot to do. That wasn't exactly a dirty game! Paul Jewell said he was ok for them at Bristol City too, so it sounds as though he's inconsistent, probably no surprise for someone who has only done about 40 Premiership and Football League games. The crazy thing is he's been put forward for the FIFA list!

After having Stewart Attwell return from 5 weeks our to ref our game on Sunday guess which linesman is returning after 6 weeks out for our game on Saturday?! Good result for you yesterday Tbh on the form of both sides i was tempted to go for a draw.. Yesterday was the first match of the season I've seen live as I never get the chance. To be honest we were awesome and Birmingham's dirty tactics didn't deserve a point. We played some wonderful football which inspired the crowd to give the best atmosphere since we went up! We made six changes from the Derby game last week with five enforced, to be able to play that well against the team in second was fantastic. I've never been worried, and I've never really been one to say Calderwood should go though after Ipswich I got close to the edge of the fence... We are good enough to stay up and I know we are, the signing of Lee Camp from QPR has been a revelation. He's brilliant and a vast improvement on Paul Smith. Of the 23 other teams we've played 15 of them (Palace twice). Of the 7 we've yet to play 5 are in the bottom third of the table with just 3 in the top 2/3 including Bristol where we go next Saturday! The two teams we have played from the bottom 8 (Charlton and Watford) we've gained four points from, after Bristol we've got Norwich (H), Doncaster (A), Barnsley (H) and Coventry (A). We'll soon be rising, I'm sure of it.

Bloody typical! 4 unbeaten against teams better than us, we then play a team who are near us in the table who have 10 men for 70 minutes and we go an lose!
Maybe you were right Andy and League 1 here we come. Awful, awful, awful!

Mark, are you a Forest fan then? Take it you played the Canaries? What was the score? Wasn't that match on sky as well, as a Ippy fan, I wouldn't know.

Yeah Forest fan. Home to Norwich and lost 2-1 even though they had Doherty sent off just after 20 minutes. I'm almost glad I don't live in Nottingham and couldn't find anywhere not showing Man Utd or the Rugby!
Atleast you beat the sheep!
