Good chance for the ARTs and di Grassi to take advantage of the two Barwa Addaxes starting further back.
With rumours that Piquet will be replaced by Grosjean in Hungary getting stronger, the GP2 championship is suddenly wide open this year

GP2 coverage was hilariously bad on Eurosport. You could tell the commentators hadn't followed the season at all this year because they got muddled up with identifying the cars so much. But still, at least its on TV free-to-air (ish), and Martin Haven and Gareth Rees are always entertaining, so all is forgiven.
Hulkenberg dominated today, and the Addaxes don't look nearly as dominant as they did at the start of the year. Only 2 points separates Grosjean, Hulkenberg and Petrov at the top of the standings, so all of a sudden GP2 is wide open this year!

I don't usually post the Indycar grids but the grid for Sunday's race in Toronto is quite interesting. It contains 2 drivers in the top 6 who don't have permanent drives, 6 different teams in the top 6 and 3 Brits in the top 6.
Grid: 1. Dario Franchitti 2. Will Power 3. Graham Rahal 4. Justin Wilson 5. Alex Tagliani 6. Mike Conway 7. Robert Doornbos 8. Scott Dixon 9. Raphael Matos 10. Helio Castroneves 11. Ryan Briscoe 12. Ryan Hunter-Reay 13. Mario Moraes 14. Tomas Scheckter 15. Paul Tracy 16. EJ Viso 17. Marco Andretti 18. Danica Patrick 19. Ed Carpenter 20. Tony Kanaan 21. Dan Wheldon 22. Hideki Mutoh 23. Richard Antinucci
Franchitti started from pole in Toronto as a rookie in 1997 and was hit at the first corner by Bobby Rahal, who started 3rd on the grid that day...

"ish" meaning not free at all. I thought Eurosport was on Freeview? It isn't. It used to be part of Top Up TV, but that's now been replaced by "Anytime" which is an on demand service featuring a selection of shows from the former Top Up channels, costing £10 a month.

Eurosport is as free as it is not an added extra on Sky Sports package, i think, but on freeview it has never been free, always an added thing and at one stage was the only station to be a top up tv bit, until Setanta came along!

Result of GP2 Nurburgring sprint race: 1 Hulkenberg (+fastest lap, making this the second 'perfect weekend in the history of GP2) The only other driver being Nelson Piquet at Hungary 2006. I really don't agree with restricting the fastest lap point to only those inside the top 10. Valerio was on slicks and set a lap over 5 seconds quicker than Hulkenberg's best!!

Moto GP is absolutely brutal. There's always several riders injured or involved in accidents any given weekend.
I don't like Nicky Hayden but that's not going to do him any good considering how off the pace he's been all year. Still 4th on the grid is his best this year. Does anyone know why Casey Stoner seems to go very well on the Ducati but his teammate always seems to struggle?

Moto GP doesn't have that much trouble, except Toseland in winter testing and Pedrosa this year is light on injuries.
Jorge obviously injued last season.
But bikes have no safety, unlike cars.
Hayden has been lacklusture since winning the championship.
And the Ducati is built around Stoner as he has been there many years, also because he is just a good bike rider, if he had a 3rd seat at Fiat owned team that Rossi and Jorge have it would make an extremely exciting and tight 3 way contest.

Second F2 race at Brands Hatch was an absolute joke today. As mentioned earlier in the season, the race did get red flagged when a rain shower meant it was too wet for slicks. Lots of accidents, including a very nasty one where Henry Surtees crashed out after being struck by a stray tyre from Jack Clarke's car prompted another red flag.
The race was starting to run over-time with only half the laps complete. The race restarted again for what seemed like only the distance needed to get to 75% and full points, but they continued on for another 2 laps putting out another red flag for no real reason at all!
Anyway, Soucek won, Wickens 2nd, Aleshin 3rd. No news on Surtees yet by the way

I really hope that isn't true, but the lack of information this long after the accident is a very worrying sign...
