26 (11) OASIS 'Rock N Roll Star' - 7.611UK Chart Run: N/A Oasis again! Poor performance from them really so far with 10 of the first 15. I was always surprised this wasn't a single considering how well known I thought it was.... Love it! Maximo Mark, Space, Stewie, His Blvdness, Thor (10) ManicKangaroo (9) Hate it! 25 (15) BLUR 'Chemical World' - 7.706
UK Chart Run: 34-{28}-37-60->4
Blur's first appearence for a few songs... Good song this, I find its parent album 'Modern Life Is Rubbish' to be their most underrated. I especially love the instrumental part at the end. 6 the lowest score given, the first song that really isn't disliked...
Love it! Sim, Smurfie (10) Stewie, Robin (9) Hate it! Wonderwall, Andy, Thor (6)

24 (14) BLUR 'Charmless Man' - 7.778
UK Chart Run: {5}-9-17-35-46-71->6
A song I've never really clicked with, although I've never clicked with much off 'The Great Escape'! Still decent enough though.
Love it! Sim, Paddy (10) Thorney, Robin, Frag, ManicKangaroo, YeahYeahTron (9) Hate it! Andrew07, Big Dan (5)

22 (13) BLUR 'Parklife' - 7.778UK Chart Run: {10}-14-20-30-43-57-74->7 A bit of cockney! I knew this wouldn't do amazingly as Phil Daniels voice on it isn't for everyone. Surprised it didn't make the top 20 though. Love it! Space, Stewie, Robin, Sim, Paddy, YeahYeahTron (10) Maximo Mark, Thorney, Misterhamster, His Blvdness, ManicKangaroo, (9) Hate it! Andy (0), Smurfie (2)

Oh I've realised I've cocked this up and used Oasis' #17 and #34 twice! I'll do one more and then post an edited list.

Oasis again! Poor performance from them really so far with 10 of the first 15. I was always surprised this wasn't a single considering how well known I thought it was.... I'm thinking Oasis will bag the bottom and top ends, being quite marmite-y with some releases whilst Blur will occupy the middle ground!

21 (12) BLUR 'End Of A Century' - 8.000UK Chart Run: {19}-35-56->3 Over half the songs get an average of above 8! One of my favourite 'live' videos. Love it! Space, Sim, Paddy (10) Thorney, Stewie, YeahYeahTron, Big Dan (9) Hate it! Smurfie (5)

And now for the two songs which I think are the worst...
20 (09) OASIS 'Wonderwall' - 8.056
UK Chart Run: {2}-3-4-5-8-11-10-7-6-5-6-9-18-22-25-32-30-43-59-67-60R(22)-74-71-75-72-36R(8)-52-60-61-63-68-61-50-62->34
A song which I've never seen the appeal to at all. Along with 'Bittersweet Symphony' it's the most over-rated song to come out of the Britpop era. I don't even like it live or as a drunken singalong...
Love it! Wonderwall, Space, Stewie, Robin, Paddy, YeahYeahTron, ManicKangaroo (10) Thorney, Andrew07 (9) Hate it! Maximo Mark (0), Big Dan (1)

19 (11) BLUR 'Girls And Boys' - 8.111UK Chart Run: {5}-6-12-16-26-49-71->7 This is by far the Blur song I think is their worst. It even makes 'Crazy Beat' sound like a masterpiece to these ears. Childish nonsence, as if it beat 'Parklife'! Love it! Space, Stewie, Robin, Sim, Paddy, ManicKangaroo (10) Thorney, Misterhamster, Frag, YeahYeahTron, Thor (9) Hate it! Maximo Mark (0)

17 (08) OASIS 'Whatever' - 8.235
UK Chart Run: {3}-6-8-9-14-19-28-43-65-70-48R(16)-49-61-75R(22)-66R(3)-55-57-61R(2)-63-69-69R(2)-64-55-58-61-66-70-56-58-64-63-62-67-65-70-69R(11)-62-70-63-66R(2)-34R(8)-36-41-48-59-61-56-45-53-65->50
Released for Christmas as a stop gap between 'Definitely Maybe' and 'Morning Glory' this went on to be their song that spent the most weeks in the chart, 50 in total. But just 9 of those were inside the top 40! I didn't follow the charts then but all of their earlier singles kept coming back in the lower regions over a period of years. I can only assume they kept being re-issued or re-pressed and promoted... It's never appeared on an album, not even their best of, so it's pleasing to see how well it's done.
Love it! Maximo Mark, Wonderwall, Space, Stewie, Sim, YeahYeahTron, Thor, ManicKangaroo (10) His Blvdness (9) Hate it! Paddy, Big Dan (3)

16 (09) BLUR 'This Is A Low' - 8.294
UK Chart Run: N/A
Despite never being a single this remains on of Blur's best and most popular tracks, moreso than any other of their album tracks probably. Simply beautiful.
Love it! Maximo Mark, Space, Andrew07, Sim, Paddy, YeahYeahTron, (10) Thorney, Big Dan (9) Hate it! His Blvdness, Andy, ManicKangaroo (6)!

Yeah they have, Paddy. It was called 'Stop The Clocks' and it was released in 2006. I actually have it.

Have oasis done a greatest of? Yes! 'Stop The Clocks' at the back end of 2006. It was a million seller. Disc 1: 1) Rock N Roll Star 2) Some Might Say 3) Talk Tonight 4) Lyla 5) The Importance of Being Idle 6) Wonderwall 7) Slide Away 8) Cigarettes And Alcohol 9) The Masterplan Disc 2: 1) Live Forever 2) Acquiesce 3) Supersonic 4) Half The World Away 5) Go Let It Out 6) Songbird 7) Morning Glory 8) Champagne Supernova 9) Don't Look Back In Anger It says everything about a band when 14/18 songs on a best of are from the period of their first 2 albums work, and just 4 are from the subsequent 4 albums...
