Really glad it's actually Keisha who has gone. I've never liked her, and now will be the first time I've ever liked all members of the group. I do find it hilarious though that there are no original memebers left People are going to be so sick of all these line up changes!

I think Amelle had emerged as the strongest member over the last few months, so it is better that Keisha leaves than she does. They are a great that has a good record of survival despite all the changes so I think they will survive this change as well. There's a lot of love for Jade already and I think that will help.

not sure if I remember it well, but didn't the name Sugababes came from Keisha's nickname at school? If so, would be kinda weird for a band to exist when the person the band was named after is gone? ??

I still think the band should be rebranded, as all 3 original members have left now mind you the band grew when Heidi joined 'Freak Like Me' was the hit that turned the band around with 2 #1s in the same year, the other been 'Round Round', the thing is out of all this Jade is in a successful girl band.

from NME... I agree 1000% with Mutya!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mutya Buena: 'Sugababes has ended' Former band member speaks about split Founding Sugababes member Mutya Buena has said she feels the band has "ended" now that none of the original members remain. Keisha Buchanan left the pop outfit earlier this week and was replaced by Jade Ewen, meaning that none of the singers who were in the band when they formed in 1998 are in the current line-up. Buena, who left Sugababes in 2005, told BBC 6music that she believed that the group was effectively defunct because of the switch. "It kind of doesn't make sense that there is Sugababes any more. I don't know if it's just me, but Keisha being the original that was left out of the band, her leaving doesn't make it Sugababes really," she explained. She added: "I don't know how they replace her or carry on without her. I just think it's really sad. To me it just means the Sugababes have ended really, not in a bad way, but because there are no original people remaining." The singer added that now Buchanan had left any chances of her rejoining the band for a live performance were gone. "If Keisha was still in the Sugababes, I would have blatantly gone in there and done a few shows with them just because it's been a few years," she said. "But now Keisha's left I just don't feel interested any more. It's kind of taken the excitement away that one day we'd be able to go on stage and sing again together." Buchanan used Twitter to suggest that she was forced out of the group following her departure

To change the name for the US market, which is essentially what this album was all about, then yes. The Sugababes only managed the one hit on the Billboard chart with Hole In Your Head at #98 (or #96?) - so the American market are none the wiser who they are - so it doesn't really matter what they call themselves. UK market - not sure. Have we ever had this situation before where the members of the band are actually none of the originals?

I think Mutya is just miffed that she no longer has the group to fall back on,when she's not having solo success.
I don't think it's a big deal that are no 'originals' left.Heidi has been a Sugababe for 8 years so she's been a part of almost all the hits, and been a member for far longer than Siobhan (and longer than Mutya was too,I think).
For me,when i think of Sugababes,I still picture Keisha,Mutya and Heidi as that's the line up that hit the big time (even though the only Sugababes cd I've ever bought is the Singles Collection, that has Amelle on the cover).Only a casual fan,so I wouldn't pass an exam on which line up sung which track ! Sugababes have their own sound, but I can't tell the difference from a track that doesn't have Siobhan to a track that doesn't have Mutya.I don't think a track without Keisha is gonna be that different either.
They've always been a moody, miserable looking group.Maybe this new line up which actually look like they're enjoying what they do ?
