** Agrees with Al **
Ages ago,I bought a Supremes hits (re recordings) cd.I knew Diana Ross wasn't on the cover, but I assumed that one of the three (50 something ?) ladies on the cover must be Mary Wilson, and another might be Cindy Birdsong. I opened the cd sleeve when I got home to read the members names - and it was none of the original members of the group ! I still love the cd though.

Not missing Keisha at all, Jade fits in already for me. So it doesn't bother you that there are no original members remaining, thus making it a totally different group to the one that released 'Overload' in 2000? Strange! My view is that there is no Sugababes anymore, and I hope this silly tribute act flop spectacularly with their album. I also really hope that Keisha & Mutya will perform together again at some point... now that I'd pay to see!!!

The only original i ever liked was Siobhan, and thanks to Keisha she pegged it. They've always come across as a bitchy group, even more so than the hayday of All Saints. So hopefully the unoriginal three might actually gell. However, as i said in a previous post, it's gone down hill since 'Taller In More Ways' (barring the fantasticly perfect 'About You Now') and not because of Mut leaving, but this insistance of a new 'sound' which i personally don't like at all. Saying that, it's probably what they need to break the US.

Sugababe Heidi Range has spoken for the first time about Keisha Buchanan's exit from the band, saying: "We couldn't work together any more." The singer said the atmosphere had been bad between her, Keisha - who was kicked out of the group this week - and bandmate Amelle Berrabah for several months. Heidi, 26 - who replaced Siobhan Donaghy in 2001 and is now the longest-established member of Sugababes - told The Sun: "It suddenly came to a head last week, me and Amelle knew we couldn't move forward the way it was, we couldn't work together any more." She went on: "But we did not want to throw away what we had achieved and split up. None of us was happy. We had to make a decision. Things have not been good for a few months." It has been reported that Keisha "bullied" the other members - a claim she denies - but Heidi said she would not "tell tales" on her former bandmate. "I'm not going to say anything bad about Keisha. I'm not going to start telling tales because I have too much respect," she said. Heidi added that she, new Sugababe Jade Ewen and Amelle had vowed not to let arguments get in the way of the band's progress. Jade has already filmed the video for the band's next single About A Girl and has started re-recording Keisha's vocals on forthcoming album Sweet 7, due out in November. The band have pulled out of performing at Guinness's 250th anniversary celebrations in Dublin on Thursday night. Keisha was the last of the band's original members. In 2005 Amelle replaced Mutya Buena. entertainment.uk.msn.com/celebrity/news/Article.aspx?cp-documentid=149886279>1=61501&ocid=today

They look nice but it's still weird not seeing Keisha. Maybe in time I'll get used to the new line-up... looking forward to listen to them and watch the new video though.

I don't care what they call themselves. Besides, Heidi is more of a Sugababe than Siobhan ever was.

Amelle Berrabah says working with Keisha Buchanan was like 'treading on eggshells'.
The brunette beauty admits relations with her former Sugababes bandmate – who was asked to leave the group earlier this week when Amelle and Heidi Range complained they were unhappy - became so strained she suffered from depression.
She said: 'Keisha didn’t leave off her own back – me and Heidi couldn’t carry on. You shouldn’t have to go to work treading on eggshells.
'Heidi completely supported me and knew what was going on within the band. We weren’t happy and it was a struggle to come into work.
'I suppose I was a bit depressed. I needed to be on my own. Even my own family couldn’t get hold of me. I hit that wall.'
Although the departure of Keisha – who has been replaced by Eurovision singer Jade Ewen - has shocked fans, Amelle admits the group had been struggling for a while.
She added: 'The problems started in the last few months but it was a long time coming. It wasn’t really arguments but the situation got very hard. I’m a chilled person and want to get on with my work and be happy.
'Me and Heidi tried for a long time to make it work, and it got to the point where we couldn’t try any more.'
However, Amelle is thrilled about the arrival of new bandmate Jade because she feared the fall-out could have caused the band to split for good.
She explained: 'We didn’t think they’d want to carry on when we said we’d had enough. When met Jade for the first time we all got on well and it seemed natural. It’s totally different – we have started enjoying ourselves again and I do feel a bit relieved.'
Amelle also claims her recent solo success following her 'Never Leave You’ collaboration with Tinchy Stryder could have upset Keisha.
She said: 'I honestly don’t know if she was jealous of my number one record and everything else that has been happening for me. I don’t want to go into airing things, going back and forth. We are adults here and I want to move on and be happy.'
The Sugababes have a history of bust-ups within the band and have seen several line-up changes.
Heidi replaced original member Siobhan Donaghy in 2001, while Amelle was brought in after founding member Mutya Buena walked out on the girl group in 2005. Keisha had been the only original member before her departure.

Jade does fit in quite well with the line-up. I infinitely prefer the Keisha vocals on About a Girl though (which is such a HOT song, it better be a hit).
I don't know whether this will be the end of the Sugababes. On one hand, you have to admire their resilience and the fact that they just REFUSE to breakup, and as long as they make good pop songs, surely they'll keep selling. However, I don't think their public image could be any worse ATM, this seems to have cemented the image in the public's mind that they are bitches.

Hopefully with any new songs it wont be so bad as we wont have anything else to compare it to.

I've been listening to the re-recorded version and thinking that there is something not quite the same about it - so at the moment prefer the Keisha version as well. I like the new version, its nice that Jade clearly sings every word - Keisha did have a tendency to "honk" her way through a song sometimes.

That and basic human decency seemed to hold her back for me.

I've heard the Jade Ewen version of "About A Girl" a few times now, and I think it's a massive improvement on "Get Sexy". Although it was an alright pop song, I felt "Get Sexy" just lacked that something.
I think the vocals on "About A Girl" blend really well to together.

'Get Sexy' was turd imo.
Wasn't a fan of 'About A Girl', but it's slowly getting there with me now.

www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/news/a182518/berrabah-thinks-world-is-against-her.htmlAmelle Berrabah is suffering from nervous exhaustion because of the recent changes in the Sugababes lineup, her family has reportedly said.
The News of the World claims that Berrabah, who announced on Friday that she is taking a break from the band, thinks that fans have turned against her since Keisha Buchanan left the group last month.
A family member reportedly described her as "in a very bad way", adding: "She has been suffering from depression for months but recent events led to her breakdown. It was very scary.
"Amelle hadn't been eating or sleeping and was very weak. She refused to leave the house for weeks as she thinks the world is against her. Much of it was in her head but she worried herself into a breakdown.
"Her bosses have given her some time off, but she knows there is massive pressure to recover quickly to promote the new single. She is still very much on the brink."
Fellow Sugababes member Heidi Range recently insisted that the band is not splitting up despite Berrabah's ill health. It wouldn't surprise me if we didn't see a new album at all at this rate!

Very worrying. I just feel for Jade, hope she got a nice cheque at least. I actually had a dream Heidi and Jade became a duo named 8.2

It doesn't look good, hopefully they'll keep going. I didn't like the fact Keisha left but I don't want them to break up.

I feel sorry for Amelle with all the back lash, but I also think she's over exagerating a little bit. I hope they don't split, they need to at least TRY with this new line up. And it wouldn't be at all fair on Jade who's given up her solo career for this. (I know she was flopping but still lol)
