Oh. I was just about to eat some words about my earlier Gaga comments, and to say that individually the tracks released so far have not been great in comparison, but when you listen to the album as a whole, it works and is a very good pop album. Even Judas. Although Beyonce has much harder work with that awful awful lead/buzz single, but can be proved wrong.

was given a 2nd listen to Gaga's BTW... but that has to be one the worst albums in the history of music... not a decent song in there until Edge comes at the very end (too late!!!!), most disappointing release ever, this sounds like an album by Bananarama or Sinitta back in the 80s, yes, THAT bad!!!!

I really like Americano but only because it is so camp and cheesy

I'm quite disappointed with the album. I think GaGa relaxed a bit while being on top of the world. But after poor sales of it I think she'll release a very good 3rd album!
Still shocked they included that song with German lyrics which is a clear copy of Judas...

She will have to do a blockbuster. Maybe she will keep quiet for a couple of years... and then come up with something great.

I still don't understand how you can rip off something that was not original in the first place. It would have been like Doors fans claiming David Bowie's The Jean Genie was a rip off of The Doors Roadhouse Blues, when the former track ripped off The Nashville Teens' Tobacco Road. I certainly can't remember any Madonna fans getting angry back in 1988 when this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnpsEUWGFv8&feature=fvst was released that sounded like it had been inspired by this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDvHO5ZSGo8Now that's what I call a rip off. PS. I've not yet bought the album. So I can't comment about it's quality at the moment.

rip off of a rip off=double rip off, far worst than a regular rip off
i've listen to the album 3/4 and it's worst than a Bananarama album, that's the sound that kinda reminds me of, Sinitta and Bananarama from the SAW days... that bad... only with even worst lyrics... she should have focused on writing songs rather than coming up with controversial topics... hope she learns the lessons and comes up with something good next time... I would have never anticipated a sophomore album crisis with Gaga!!!

I honestly love the album It's doesn't really compare to The Fame yet and definitely not The Fame Monster (although that is my favourite album ever) but I do like every track on it. And contrary to most reviews and even fan opinions, Bad Kids is one of my favourite tracks.

They've just given the album a glowing review, hailing it "an instant classic and a landmark album that will be talked about in 45 years time like Pet Sounds, Blonde & Blonde and Revolver are today." Needless to say they've ranked it their "If' there's just one album you must buy this month ..." ahead of new albums by the likes of Kate Bush; Danger Mouse; Art Brut; Darwin Deez & Friendly Fires.

It baffles me why people think that copying and pasting a good review immediately makes it a good album.

Been listening to tracks on Youtube and a lot have grown on me. Wouldn't say it's a brilliant album but not a bad one either.

Oh well if the world renowned The Word magazine says it's a classic i guess it must be then Well their track record speaks for itself: Mark Ellen & David Hepworth former writers for the NME; Sounds; Time Out magazines set up their (now named) Development Hell publishing company along with their dance music critic mate Jerry Perkins. Their first project for EMAP was the setting up of the fortnightly music magazine Smash Hits in 1978, which went on to overtake the NME to become the leading selling music magazine in the early 1980s in the UK; ..... in 1986 they sold their stake in that magazine to set Q magazine .... which went on to become the biggest circulating music magazine in the UK ...... but in 1993 they sold their stake in that magazine to set up Mojo magazine .... which went on to become the biggest circulating magazine in the UK ...... in 2003 they left to set up The Word magazine .... which went on to become the biggest circulating magazine in the UK. In addition their publishing company set up Empire magazine; Heat magazine & their mate Jerry Perkins runs Mixmag via their publishing company. Also David Hepworth & Mark Ellen were the presenters of The Old Grey Whistle Test between 1982-1987; and most famously hosted the presentation of Live Aid back in 1985. During their time as Editor & Lead Contributor of their respective magazines; their magazines under their watch have won Music Magazine Of The Year 17 times in over three decades. In short, to dismiss that is like saying Sir Alex Ferguson does not have a clue at picking a football team & tactics, and hence EMAP knows whatever the pair do they have a loyal following of mainly male 30/40/50 somethings who highly value their critiques. Hence, if they say Gaga's new album is great, then that will increase the chances of that older more affluent male audience spending a tenner on the album in HMV; or ordering it off Amazon. Especially as they were the one British magazine to state that U2's No Line On The Horizon wasn't very good ... which the revisionist conscientious of music critics & U2 & Brian Eno themselves agrees with.

I don't see much of a similarity between those 2 BUT even if there were a strong similarity had the internet been the force it is now then there may have been the same outcry, the difference is that the option wasn't available for there to have been anything like the same level of public discourse there is now

No one asked for an essay. Why you feel the need to try and contradict someones opinion is bizzare. That's really not how opinions work... but you feel free to learn what to think by reading magazines and other reviews.

Well said CT. I like to form my own opinion on things not have someone else tell me what to think. But each to his own i guess
