I've always hated Nothing Compares 2 U, Billie Jean and China In Your Hand. Sinead O'Connor has a fantastic voice but has not done herself any favours with her choice of songs. likewise x3 although I do like Prince's original version of NC2U Hurrah, I'm not alone

Just to add to the godawful version of Nothing Compares 2 U here's a glorious version of House Of The Rising Sun

Nobody dislikes "Poison Arrow" or "The Look of Love" by ABC,, surely? Probably not "All Of My Heart" too?

It's funny about that track, isn't it? Especially given that it wasn't a big hit.

You will never ever find universally loved songs, as this thread is demonstrating, but I guess Queen are the closest you will get. The problem is that their most famous tracks are rather overplayed, so already, that begins to tick certain people off...

Queen. Does anyone actually dislike them? Me. I rate Queen along side Elvis Presley and Stone Roses as "I don't quite get the fuss". Queen especially, Bohemian Rhapsody being in my top ten hated songs of all time. The only one I could bear Queen related was FM's solo single Living On My Own ('93 remix), which was in the right place at the right time memory-wise Interestingly, I also own Rat In My Kitchen on 7", but I also bought "Higher Ground" - which was a complete snoozefest on reflection.

I also wanted to say Blackbox "Ride On Time" as an all-rounder....

^I know David Gray has many songs better than Babylon, I was using his more popular song as example... but then, Natalie Imbruglia's Torn... cannot imagine anyone hating (reaaally hating it)!!!??

Oh, just saying, no critcism on the choice, Dead In The Water has always been head and shoulders over the David Grey songs for me. Torn is great, and utterly played it to death in my early 20's.
