Blur had a number one album last year so yeh! Also Bjork was top 10 as well in albums. Although would have liked them to nominate Bring Me The Horizon for Best British Band as well, number 2 album in Uk and US

Although would have liked them to nominate Bring Me The Horizon for Best British Band as well, number 2 album in Uk and US Yes, but they were not manufactured in a reality so called talent TV contest show, sing badly, have little input on their recordings, and mope around the stage in an un-choreographed manner that makes 1990s Take That look like The Beatles meets the Jackson 5 rolled into one. I'm just grateful the Foals got nominated, when you consider the following British groups topped the album chart in 2015, and none of them got nominated: The Prodigy; Mumford & Sons; Muse; The Chemical Brothers; The Maccabees; Iron Maiden; Stereophonics; Disclosure; Rudimental; Faithless. Re: Amy Winehouse's nomination for Best British Female, Cilla Black must be feeling hard done by... not to mention what a slapdown on the likes of Ellie Goulding, Jessie J; and countless British female acts ghettoised to Radio 6 Music with critically acclaimed albums such as the Neptune (Best Album by a British Artist in the last 12 months not shortlisted by the Mercury Music Award committee), & Welsh Album Of The Year Award winning Gwenno ..... at least David Bowie will fully deserve it if he gets nominated for Best British Male in 12 months time.

Why does the best single and video noms have so many similar names, and when did we start giving noms to nondescript videos, just because they're by a big act, or it sold well. Let it be about the video, and nominate something different, just stupid.

There was no new Cilla material released in 2015. Therefore, she is not eligible. Some of the Amy soundtrack is new material.

Let it be about the video, and nominate something different, just stupid. It has to be said. Can anyone seriously claim with a straight face that any of those ten British acts videos nominated deserved to be nominated ahead of this: Or this: Or this:

No new material was better than those dreadful bits and pieces David Joseph, CEO of Universal Music UK allowed to be used so cheapening her legacy, after going back on his promise after the posthumous Lioness release. And as you've heard me say a number of times I rate Back To Black as the best album of the 21st Century. Hence my comment.

They've gone beyond parody now. They are outright racist, incompetent and bent. Amy f***ing Winehouse. Seriously. A corpse is more talented than every single living female artist. Other than the other f***ing puppets.
And nothing. Nothing. From England north of the Thames, one each from Scotland and Wales, nothing from Northern Ireland.
f*** them. I hope they are all bankrupt this time next year.

You think that Laura Marling is a puppet hardly, but before you say yes she has rich parents hehe, tbh it doesnt really matter who is nominated in that category as Adele will win anyway.
I can almost pick someone good in every category for once but I doubt any of them will win like Foals, Tame Impala, Courtney Barret, Catfish,Wolf Alice, Alambama shakes, Blur.

Would love Tame Impala to win international Group.
Other than that I'd love to see Adele going home with 4.

The singles nominations are always the year's best-sellers, so some great singles are bound to miss out. I think there is something similar for the videos as well.

Why on earth is there an act consisting of 5 men and 2 women (who are named after their 2 female members) in the running for British Female? It's almost as absurd as nominating Fleetwood Mac in a Best British Male category.
It does however mean we have the interesting situation where the British Female category features as many men as it does living women.

A load of unknown female singers should get together to record a protest track. Called something like "The People Who Decide The Brit Awards Are Scrota" or suchlike. I am positively angry about the Winehouse inclusion, the people behind that are unfit for purpose and should be ashamed.

Yeh it's quite bizarre , I presume Ellie Goulding was missed as her album missed the cutoff but there has been plenty talented females this year eg Rae Morris and Lucy Rose both top 10 albums
