Neil Warnock always gets a job, is he 70 yet? Forest next to sack their manager?

Joey Barton is now in very serious trouble - and he hasn't even returned to Rangers as his suspension by the club isn't due to end until Monday. This time he's been charged by the Scottish FA for breaking rules relating to gambling on football matches - 44 matches in total! www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37567674If he is found guilty as charged that probably marks the end of his football career either north or south of the border. That said, I'd imagine there are many other players who still bet on games despite it being against SFA / FA rules...

Stags beat Notts county 3-1 today with two late late goals, wish I'd gone now but thought we'd get beat easily, very pleasantly surprised, just hope the county fans haven't smashed our toilets up again!!

Disappointing result, should have taken our first half chances, but it's only one game. Hopefully we can pick up again quickly as I feel we've got a chance for top 7 this year. Probably need to improve the defence though, leaking far too many soft goals.

I was surprised how well and how high up the table you are, lots of big teams looking to get promoted though this year, tough league. Sure you'll beat us at Mardy Lane later in the season.

Don't think we'll go up but anything is better than last season. It was shambolic on and off the pitch

One of them scored by Darius Henderson, which came as a surprise, didn't realise he was playing for you now!

Please blow the whistle at St James Park. I have a bet on Newcastle winning 3-0 and while I would normally love to see us score more I want the game to end as a 3-0 scoreline! I'm in for £80 if it stays the same score!

Yes!!! I don't normally bet on Newcastle - it's usually the kiss of death when I bet on us - but I've had a feeling all week we were going to win 3-0. I'll be quite happy going to the bookies tomorrow morning!

Looks like Robbie is a happy man
Anyhow Arsenal should have whacked a few goals against a bottom team Middlesborough practically, after Arsenal thrashing Ludograts last Wednesday 6-0, where on earth did it go wrong. On the bright side I'm happy they are on top of the league for the next 16 hours or so.

Looked like Borough had the better chances too. Arsenal really do struggle against these kind of teams. Have done for years

Oh wow, we've somehow managed to get Steve Evans to come and manage us after sacking Adam Murray on Monday! He's proven he can get promotions, let's hope that continues, we could do with some more good cheer!

Is that the same Steve Evans who has a history of fraud, of impeding legal process, and of tax avoidance ? And the same Steve Evans who has had repeated touchline bans for abusing referees and their assistants ? And the same Steve Evans who walks out on small clubs as soon as a slightly larger one comes calling ?
Good luck with that appointment. Not to sort of manager I'd want associated with my club, no matter how badly they were doing.

How many seasons did he stay at Boston and how many promotions? Same question for Crawley, and Rotherham? I don't like him as a person, but he gets results on the pitch, and our chairman wants to move our club up to the next level if possible. And if we weren't taking managers with previous touch line bans, there'd be very few left to pick. Thank god we didn't get dean Saunders, he's a class manager!

There's an intesting article on BBC Sport about how Southampton have managed to return to the Premier League, and to remain competitive despite losing key players/managers. I think they must be one of the best-run clubs in the country. Shireblogger, do you know how their performance compares with their budget relative to other PL clubs?

It should be an interesting afternoon / evening. Newcastle away to Leeds (I have a horrible feeling we're going to get beat though hopefully we'll win) and Murray playing Djokovic in the tennis. Hopefully Andy will win...
