My son has gone to the Newcastle game, 35000 or so there I think? And a tribute to Gary Speed from both teams? He's quite optimistic about Leeds at the moment, so I'm just hoping they dont get hammered!

I believe it will be Leeds' biggest crowd for many a year. It's a total sell out, apparently over 36,000 tickets have been sold.
Only 15 minutes to go to kick off time!

Yes! 1-0 to Newcastle. We are playing brilliant, it should have been 2 or 3 nil.

I didn't expect us to win but I'm quite happy with that result!

A good crowd at Elland Road today, 36,002. It's their best crowd for 13 years.

Burton 1 Newcastle 2
A good result even if we didn't play that great. Good to see the Geordies doing so well (so far!).

Can understand you not wanting to get carried away, they're your team, but I think Brighton and Newcastle have the top 2 wrapped up. Just can't see anyone below overtaking them. From the match updates I've read of Reading's games we're at least 5 points better off than we should be, yesterday's win at Blackburn was the biggest smash and grab of them all. Blackburn were the better team over 90 mins but they ended up losing in injury-time, our 1st ever league win at Ewood Park!

I still miss our ex-manager, he's one of the nicest blokes in football. It would be good to see Chris Hughton at St James' Park next season when we are both (hopefully!) in the Premier League...

After Swansea sacked Bob Bradley yesterday they've now been linked with Jaap Stam as his replacement... I'd like to think it's too early for Stam when he's only been working in England for 6 months, and if he was tempted to move he wouldn't be interested in moving to a club that could swap places with us at the end of the season, but i'd be lying if I said I wasn't a tad nervous.

Interesting watching the C5 highlights today and seeing the fog at Yeovil on Friday night. It looked worse than in Brighton and Reading and yet the game got completed
Maybe the Reading game being abandoned serves the club right for moving it to the Friday meaning I couldn't go? Was still disappointed it was called off at half-time though, especially as we had a player go off injured just before half-time, in a game that counted for nothing in the end. A lot of unhappy fans, apparently the fog was clearing at half-time, and had gone completely by 10.30

The mighty Raith Play our local rivals today (Dunfermline).
Heading to the game this afternoon and hoping for the 3 points, especially after we have re-loaned Ryan Hardie from Rangers.

Fife Derby was a shocker for us. 2-0 defeat.
We were pathetic.

Interesting result for Reading yesterday...(won from 0-2 with 20 mins left grabbing the winner in stoppage time). The kind of result that makes me wonder what could be achieved this season...

They are looking good for at least a playoff spot Yea, I think we're at least 5 points better off than we should be but the positive omens are starting to add up.
1) I'm as confident about us at home as I've ever been - and this goes back months, not just recently. Still got Newcastle to play at home but I genuinely think it's possible we could finish up with only 2 home defeats all season. 2) In the Madejski Stadium era (or Mad Stad as I call it), 1998 on, we've always won promotion after 4 years in a division - 2002 from the 3rd tier, 2006 and 2012 from this level. This is our 4th season in the Championship this time around. 3) Yesterday's result was actually very similar to a 3-2 comeback win at Bristol City in September 2011, even more so than I first thought having looked it up
I can't see us finishing top 2, but I have been dreaming of a Wembley play-off final...
