The sport I'm looking out for today is Trampolining. Never watched it before. There's a field of 16 in the women's event, and 2 of them are Brits. Pity the BBC didn't show more of this. Once again, I find gymnastics breathtaking. It's the combination of grace, strength and technical brilliance which is so extraordinary.

Wow that Men's team pursuit final against Australia was much tighter than expected.
Wiggins 8th medal, Team GB's 7th Gold of the Olympics, now up to third in the medal table (however, temporarily).

Great effort from the Aussies - pushed GB all the way. Medals coming thick and fast now...

A knackered Murray & Heather Watson out of the Mixed Doubles Tennis QF's.
PS. In the other nine Sailing categories Team GB's "boats" are lying 4th, 1st, 3rd, 14th, 8th, 9th, 1st, 7th & 2nd respectively.
I'm off for some sleep, let's hope Jessica Ennis-Hill, and leader Katarina Johnson-Thompson continue their great efforts in the heptathlon.

I used to go out with a girl called Jaz who was a trampolinist. She used to compete with Kate Driscoll, not sure about Bryony Page though. She was pretty good too but gave it up to be a vetenary surgeon but won quite a few events scoring over 50 points. I found her grace strength and technical brilliance quite something too Attachment Deleted56.50 isn't too shabby at that level considering gold got 56.46

Not a great night in the Olympic Stadium for GB.
Awful shot put for KJT. A bit better for Jess.
Martyn Rooney goes out of the 400m in the first round.
Greg Rutherford in a very precarious position in the long jump with two fouls in qualifying...

Gold in the women's team pursuit and silver for Becky James in the keirin. Laura Trott is the first British woman to win 3 Olympic gold medals. GB guaranteed a gold and silver with an all-British final in the men's sprint.
Big ask for KJT to win a medal in the heptathlon after a poor javelin but a very solid start for Jess keeps her right in the gold hunt. Her 800m PB is 10 seconds quicker than Thiam in first place, though Thiam has just thrown 53m in the javelin...
Greg Rutherford currently 3rd in the long jump but only 2cm off the lead...
Great PB run by Matt Hudson-Smith to reach the 400m final!

Jess improves slightly in the javelin. As it stands, she has to beat Thiam by around 10 seconds in the 800m.

Bronze for Rutherford! Looked like one of the Americans had pushed him out of the medals with the final jump but his hand brushed the sand behind the 8 metre mark... Great final - so many lead changes...
