Gold #18 for Team GB 2016, and #4 in two Olympics for Laura Trott.
Hopefully, that is not the last one tonight in the velodrome....

I think the standard of refereeing at the Velodrome has been excellent. More officious, less pragmatic, adjudicators might have disqualified both Mark Cavendish in the Omnium Points Race and Jason Kenny in the Kieran final. Instead, they saw sense and allowed both to continue.
I don't know enough about marathon swimming to comment on that decision.
And I don't really care about the boxing controversies, beyond reminding everyone that they seem to be a feature of every Olympics. And, decades later, it is revealed that bribes were paid and blackmail extorted to get bogus decisions. No idea whether that is happening in Rio, but, from what I've read, it seems to be Russia that is benefiting so far.

Meanwhile, what kind of an Olympic day results in a bronze medal in women's gymnastics and a silver in men's diving barely getting a mention ? Team GB has been, simply, sensational.

Has Mr Laugher's mother commented on this yet? I guess she can now legitimately claim her son is the second best diver in the country ......... behind England & Manchester United winger Ashley Young.

A quiet day for GB in terms of medals, with the 470 sailing gold delayed due to the weather.
However, GB's women are through to the hockey final for the first time after beating New Zealand 3-0! They'll face the Netherlands, who beat Germany on penalties.
