42. Paramore – Hard Timeswww.youtube.com/watch?v=AEB6ibtdPZcPeak Position: 4 Ok back again, this should go a bit quicker now because I have the peak position of every act remaining handy, Paramore completely changed direction for this album, I wasn't a fan but it did have some very good moments with Hard Times being the best of them

41. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club – Little Thing Gone Wild www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBjg8zSqvQcPeak Position: 3 “Little Thing Gone Wild” from their new album ‘Wrong Creatures’, another decent return from a band that is entering the veteran stage of there career now, they have done just about every sound now and have gone back to a similar sound to 2008 BRMC

40. Fangclub – Better To Forgetwww.youtube.com/watch?v=a9rf4mfAmrcPeak Position: 3 Fangclub at 40 and 56 certainly represents a great year for a relatively unknown band, both songs did great in my chart and more importantly they haven't lost any of the appeal a year later

39. Foo Fighters – The Sky Is A Neighborhoodwww.youtube.com/watch?v=TRqiFPpw2fYPeak Position: 3 YES YES YES, we are into the big hitters now, not sure how this didnt make my number 1 but a top 40 finish is pretty decent, the album Concrete and Gold was a bit hit and miss for me but it did have some great songs

38. YUNGBLUD – I Love You, Will You Marry Me 2www.youtube.com/watch?v=pg4K9pfKl1UPeak Position: 2 Another act I only discovered in 2017, I just love his mix of urban rap, ska and punk all fused together with his angsty lyrics about the broken system we live in, really top notch stuff from a genre I don't traditionally like

37. Royal Blood – Lights Outwww.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSznpyG9CHYPeak Position: 2 Some artists just nail the sound, stick to it a reel off hit after hit, they have 5 songs in this countdown and 3 in the top 100, which means one more yet to come

36. Portugal. The Man – So Youngwww.youtube.com/watch?v=zzzffLkzNKY Peak Position: 4 Portugal. The Man dropped a disgustingly brilliant album, nailing both the pop mainstream and alternative rock fan market a lot like Black Keys did with El Camino, I know its not hard but they have to be the best band ever to come from Alaska

35. Miya Folick – Trouble Adjustingwww.youtube.com/watch?v=6HgjxB5m_U4Peak Position: 4 Who doesn't like a kick ass chick with a rock sound beautifully combined with pop hooks, a killer chorus and crushing guitars, just about the perfect song, she still got to number 4 in my chart but should've got a bit higher on repeat listens

34. The Hunna – Summer www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJ5QHI4GreEPeak Position: 2 This must be about the 10th song I have charted by them since discovering them in 2015 with Bonfire, they are another band who know how to write a killer chorus, maybe I'm a sucker for it but a catchy chorus and I'm usually all in

33. The Pink Spiders – Easier Than Ever www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YoEn_24K58Peak Position: 3 Brilliant comeback single from mid 00's pop punk rockers The Pink Spiders, i'm delighted there new album got crowd funded earlier this month so I am expecting a great album to drop later this year, Easier Than Ever spent 6 weeks in my top 10 and peaked at #3

32. Weezer – Weekend Womanwww.youtube.com/watch?v=SGuUAtJ8yMMPeak Position: 2 This was the 4th song to appear on Spotify before the album dropped, I charted it as I usually do with grats but it kept climbing before settling at number 2 in my chart, a few year ago I though the best of Weezer might be behind us but there last two albums Pacific Daydream and the White Album have been crammed with great songs

31. The Killers – Run For Cover www.youtube.com/watch?v=XO7JGfqPB0sPeak Position: 2 Great song, terrible album, hard to criticise an album with Run for Cover and The Man on it but the rest of Wonderful Wonderful really is a huge disappointment what is more disappointing is the two songs mentioned are so good

30. Biffy Clyro – Friends and Enemieswww.youtube.com/watch?v=GDIKVK6GDmgPeak Position: 3 From the 2016 album Ellipsis so sems a long time ago now but well deserving of a top 30 spot, kick ass chorus, crunching guitars and the classic Biffy sound

29. Beck – Dear Life www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERoS6y5zE0Y Peak Position: 2 I don't know how Beck does it, he released Odelay in 1996 and as a 12 year old I loved The New Pollution and Devils Haircut 21 year later and he is still releasing bangers AND his best of 2017 is yet to come

28. Eliza and the Bear – Higher www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5cSqyQHzaYPeak Position: 2 I have a soft spot for Eliza and the Bear, they are a modern indie pop band that never disappoint, you can never have enough trumpet. Pretty sure I have heard it on an advert since, maybe Sky Sports football, great song, I'm surprised nobody else charted it highly

27. Black Honey – Somebody Betterwww.youtube.com/watch?v=MXG9zeVoR-0Peak Position: 2 Unlucky to spend 3 weeks at number 2 in my chart but never get to number 1, kick ass female fronted band, these are one of my favorite discoveries of 2016 when they released All My Pride and Hello Today, both charted high in my top 400, they have a touch of No Doubt about them

26. BØRNS – Faded Heartwww.youtube.com/watch?v=eF2hDcFIfqsPeak Position: 2 As we close in on the top 20 we have a synth pop gem from Garrett Clark Borns better known by his stage name BØRNS, he is an American singer and songwriter from Michigan that just released his second album Blue Madonna, worth a listen for pop and alternative fans

25. Nothing but Thieves – I'm Not Made by Designwww.youtube.com/watch?v=RqfeNCxgf3U Peak Position: 1 Another Nothing But Thieves song, I know, but there second album was pretty good, this spent 1 week as my number 1 and Nothing But Thieves had more songs than anyone else in my top 400 with 5 songs, joint top with Portugal. The Man I'm Not Made by Design 25 Sorry 49 Particles 214 Broken Machine 223 Amsterdam ??

24. Incubus – Nimble b*st*rdwww.youtube.com/watch?v=GlA_rQ2JfCA Peak Position: 2 My favorite thing Incubus have done since Light Grenades in 2006, it spent 3 weeks at number 2 in my chart which was a bit unlucky really, I'm sure whatever kept it from the number 1 spot is yet to come

23. New Found Glory – Happy Being Miserablewww.youtube.com/watch?v=QF0fSSsY5vQPeak Position: 1 Happy Being Miserable did amazing in my chart, spending 2 weeks at number 1 and 5 weeks in my top 5 so it had to be in or around my top 20 of 2017, where did this album come from? they flew under my radar for well over 15 year since I first herd of them in the early 00's, they had a great song in 2015 with Vicious Love featuring Hayley Williams and that gave them a bit of a resurgence but still this 2017 album was a nice surprise
