Must have been one of the strongest Eurovision's ever - the top 3 songs were all great and worthy of the top 10.

Obviously Shirley Bassey ust have a certain fanbase here.
Love the 3 way tie.
Didn't expect Glen Campbell to beat Mary Hopkin.
Some good songs lost out in the last round .

Three or four in the running there.
Alan Walker is just getting a bit too familiar now.

Not the heady days of Get Off Of My Cloud but I actually quite like it - there's a hypnotic quality to it.
Wonder how much of an impression it might make on the charts?

Is this the highest number of ties ever? And quite a number of 10-8 where one vote the other way would have made the difference.
I'd have to say that in the tied couplings both songs were worthy. As I've said before it's pretty difficult to get a handle on how these 60s results will go.
I found in that round that in nearly all the match-ups I either loved both tracks or disliked both tracks.
On the face of it it might appear that there is voting for the artist rather the song but the fact is that if you like an artist then generally you tend to like their songs and vice versa.
Personally mystified how well Louis Armstrong is doing and can't believe Love Affair ended up with 1.5 points.

Thought Beatfreakz worked well - gave it 16 and an 18 for De'lacy!
All of my bottom five are in the Top 10.

The Daily Mirror printed this spurious article yesterday regarding Diana's UK tour: www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/diana-ross-refuses-postpone-upcoming-21888556Fortunately Diana was quick off the mark and able to nip these lies in the bud by posting on social media: "The UK Daily Mirror (4/18) article is NOT true. No idea where they would get this untruth. I'm respecting the authorities directions and health and safety of all. I'm not coming to the UK. I'm heartbroken, hoping to see u as soon as promoters reschedule." Of course what else would you expect from this paper. The problem surrounding the cancellation of the tour lies with the promoters - probably trying to hold on to the ticket money as long as possible.
