They only ever do it for midweek games when the attendance will be lower than usual. Sheffield United did midweek games for a fiver, I'm not sure if they still do though. Not that I ever went, I'd need to be payed to watch Sheffield United, especially when under Blackwell!

If the campaign was Mariah vs the X-Factor winner, then I think I'd turn into an X-Factor loon and multibuy the winners single!!

It's all coming together for Forest at the moment. McGugan is proving that he's pretty much wasted the last two years. A brilliant talent, but too heavy and too content with the lifestyle.
I still think Billy Davies will resign in February though. The starting XI is better than last year as we have an actual left back* now and not constantly playing someone out of position. We'll be in the top 6, fail to strengthen as per the last few transfer windows and then he'll go. Would I be disappointed? Yes. Would I blame him? No.
*James Perch - 5 bookings and 1 own goal in 6 games - £1.5m - best bit of business in the close season easily. Always been average, always will be!

The Jamie Ward challenge was a shocker, well deserving of a red card. Regardless of how much he touched the opponent, it was a very poor challenge - needless ,over the top and hard. If he'd made contace Kilkenny would be lucky to be playing again before 2011.

I voted for 13 as my favourite, but Modern Life..., Blur and Parklife are also 10/10 albums. Think Tank 9/10, Great Escape 7. Never really been fond of Leisure, give it a 5.

Blur are my favourite band of all time. Damon Albarn is my favourite artist of all time.
Blur released 7 albums and each have massively different sounds. Compare '13' to 'Parklife'. They could easily have been by two different bands, and that's what I love about them. They progressed their sound with each album and to these ears, are the only band to have released five absolute classic albums.
Compared to Oasis, every Oasis album is an Oasis album. One distinctive sound which they never tried to progress, only very occasionally with singles like 'Songbird' and 'The Importance of Being Idle'. When Oasis released their first Best of, of the 18 songs on it 14 were from the era of their first two albums, 4 from their subsequent four. That tells you everything, for 3 years they were amazing, after that they never got close.

Pure speculation, I know, but your computer game seems less likely to throw out surprise results than real life. I didn't notice any league teams falling to non-league opposition in that round. Another 11 goals for Spurs. I think it was Crouch 8-8 Pavlyuchenko before this game. Football Manager doesn't tend to to be honest. I think when I've looked at the third round FA Cup draw on it, any teams below BSP who make it always play non-league teams in Rounds 1 and 2.

Current league teams I've seen play:
Manchester United Blackpool Birmingham Blackburn* Bolton* Wolves* West Ham* Everton
QPR Cardiff Ipswich Norwich Millwall Burnley* Reading Coventry Leeds Middlesbrough Sheffield United Nottingham Forest Crystal Palace Derby Preston
Huddersfield Peterborough Oldham Sheffield Wednesday Notts County Swindon Plymouth Bristol Rovers* Yeovil Walsall Hartlepool Southampton Tranmere
Port Vale Rotherham Burton Albion* Crewe Northampton Bradford
42 in total, just over half. Quite good I think.
There may have been more that I don't remember, I know I've definitely seen all of the above though. Ones marked with a * were not watching a Forest match.

In the FA Youth Cup second qualifying round they're away at Boston United after being given a bye in the first due to drawing Ilkeston Town.

Why is Bad Romance in it? I know it was number one this year but surely it's a 2009 number one?
I voted for 'Telephone', 'Good Times' and 'Dynamite'.

I thought I put that in the post above.... He plays for Arnold Town, although he's only actually been on the bench for the first team, but is top scorer for the academy and reserves this season.

Maybe if the previous manager hadn't signed an almost entirely foreign squad then the new one would'nt have had to find a couple of home grown players with f*** all money to do so.... And after last season, Konchesky would have to get a fair bit worse to be considered as a worse alternative to Insua. As a Liverpool fan all I can say you are falling for the trap of believing the tabloid media. Funnily enough Inter Milan have 2 more points than Liverpool have, having played two less games in Serie A. I'm sorry but what part of my post was untrue? I said that Rafa Benitez developed an almost entirely foreign first team squad. Unless I'm missing someone it had 3 or 4 'home grown' players and was full of foreign players who'd performed average at best (Riera, Maxi, Lucas (although I think he gets too much stick), Insua, Dossena, Degen etc. Regardless of how well Rafa Benitez has done regarding the academy and the background (I won't deny that it's vastly improved and Liverpool have done very well with it in the last few years) but you can't deny some of his first team signings were pretty poor. Hodgson inherited a squad with three left backs in it, one spends most of the time injured and two were wantaway. He needed a new one but had pretty much no money to buy one, would there really have been a greater alternative to Konchesky? Insua is only on loan anyway and I think he had potential, but he went backwards last year, probably because he played too many games and couldn't cope with the pressure at such a young age. I thought he looked a lot better the season before. As for Inter having 7 points and Liverpool having 5. Inter were Champions for the 5th(?) year in a row last year. Their first three fixtures were against teams who finished 6th, 16th and 17th in Serie A last season. Anything less than 7 points from that you'd have to say is poor. Liverpool have played the teams who finished 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 9th, and a promoted team. That's three teams who finished above Liverpool last year and a team that not even King Rafa ever beat. Were you seriously expecting much more than 5 points from that? Yeah the performances may have been worse than expected but I'd have said Liverpool would probably be getting 4-7 points from thos 5 games, regardless of who was in charge.
