Regarding the Joseph megamix, they actually did something like that at the end of the show when the cast were doing their bows. When you think about it, it makes sense in that context. Not sure it was worth releasing as a single though.

It will be up to the host of the next contest (most likely the winner of this one) whether they wish to have an album-track round or not.
The voting for this round was quite interesting, with every song getting at least one top score, and for an artist who had a long career, there is always a question which album they should pick the song from.
If you're actually quite a big fan of the artist you are mentoring, it is likely you own a number of their albums and potentially have a few favourite album tracks, as well as knowing which are the fan-favourites (or which the artist regularly plays when you see them live - if they are still alive, that is).

The final will be round 11 so the two "long" rounds are right in the middle.

In the final reveal not only will you know how each song scored, but I will reveal the voting pattern for one of the songs in the round.
I may also add what I thought of the songs.

These are the sing-off entries.
Please send in your round 6 songs, which will be double-elimination (and a replacement sing-off song if needed or you just wish to change it).
There is slightly longer to vote as it closes on Sunday but at the earlier time of 5pm to give me enough time to post up the next round before the later part of my festival starts.

Ok, the moment of climax.
Sailing through (or maybe scraping through)
Rod Stewart
But what's going on?
Marvin Gaye
is in the sing-off.
I will post up the sing-off.
Next round is double-elimination and nearly half the remaining acts will be in the sing-off.

I didn't actually check discogs. "Gasoline Alley" was a minor hit single for Elkie Brooks reaching #52 in 1983, but that itself wouldn't disqualify Rod Stewart's mentor playing the original.
(I just checked now and it was not a single)

Yes it is open to speculation, i.e. you may post your speculations in the topic.
6 acts ended up very safe, 2 just outside the bottom 2 and 2 inside.

There is not long to go to reveal. 2 acts are in the bottom 2, another narrowly escaped, and a 4th one was close but a bit further from those 3.
If any non-participant who has not previously voted decides to do so in the next hour, it could change.

I think another song with Sex in the title that got to #1 in the UK chart is likely to show up.
I actually went to see the Joseph musical and Jason Donovan was playing Joseph. He doesn't do a lot of singing, the "narrator", who was played by Linzi Hateley does quite a lot more. The other brothers are clearly more dancers than singers but also do some singing.
It wasn't a bad casting and I think Andrew Lloyd Webber would not have agreed if he were really that bad, as it's surely a project he took more seriously than that Timmy Mallett single the previous year or the Tetris hit of the following year. (He liked to have a bit of fun on the pop charts). And at least Jason Donovan could definitely act.
