21 Back to the 60's - Tight FitSpeaking of which Where is the Tight Fit who will do 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight' at least that is fun, has a great video and was just a great pop song. Here they are just doing megamixes, they could be anyone. This is not Tight Fit!! We want a group which is part Human League part Bucks Fizz not this waste of time. 1982 cant come fast enough

20 (Do) The Hucklebuck - Coast To Coast
I still remember the chart this was on, I taped it off the radio and played it all the time, I did fast forward this one. And here we go again more rock n roll revivalism. It was everywhere and yes I am desperate for 1982 to clear out all this and start looking more to the future. The next song is a big part of the problem...

For me, I'd rather hear that than much of the "dance" music that came out later which has no tune to sing along to and is just the same thing repeated indefinitely, but became revered "Emperor's New Clothes" style.. It's a main reason, because I don't like charts from the first half of 90s.

And that is the challenge for this list why is something like 'Break 4 Love' total class but another similiar track is awful. 1989 will be hard work, with all the PWL, dreadful covers over house beats, megamixes and sometimes all 3 at once!! Really looking forward to building the list. And if you think UK dance sucked, the stuff in the US charts was often even worse. Not sure I will be able to fit it in a top 50 once I include all the dire MOR, hair metal, rap and boy bands as well!!

I forgot to say "thank you" for not including the biggest 80s hit of my chart "You Gotta Be A Hustler If You Wanna Get On" in the worst list, but better late than never.

I like "Bermuda Triangle" too, not as good as Copacabana but good he did more of that kind of thing, it's the dull ballads he's done that I can't stand.
"Woman" is ok, but "Watching The Wheels" is just so much better yet it flopped - were people sick of all the John Lennon songs dominating the charts by then or had they all just bought "Double Fantasy" by then? I think I read Midge Ure quite liked "Woman" too.

Showaddywaddy and Darts were themselves past having hits, but not the rock and roll revivalists, "The Hucklebuck" was a Chubby Checker song back in 1960.

My favourite song of 1981 is "Will You". If that appears on this list I really will be shocked and annoyed.

I'm wondering where "Ossie's Dream (Spurs Are On Their Way To Wembley)" will appear.. even if that's your team you sort-of know it's a bit "naff" music-wise, and they're not my team but I quite enjoy that, as well as "Snooker Loopy".

You don't like MOR music, so two my # 1s ("More Than In Love" and "Angel Of The Morning") are vulnerable.

19 Green Door - Shakin' Stevens
Now I didnt include 'This Ole House' as it just has too much nostalgia but this one had to be there. Awful video for a start and yes more rocknroll. By the one just one more song and the quality is going to take a massive drop from then on.

This is probbaly the last song on this list that is included just because I really dont like this kind of music. This was another song I heard a lot when I was a kid and just can't stand. Again there is a really good power ballad in there, I can imagine REO Speedwagon or Aerosmith, turning this into something better but in this form its not for me im afraid.

17 Its Now Or Never - John Schneider
Oh dear, where do we start. I think he should stick to jumping over cars. As actors turned singers he must be up there with the worst but what genre does he choose, yes 60s revival. Id rather listen to the Cornetto ad version

Its another actor turned singer and she is now and still is a very funny comic but Good Old Days suspected her brand of MOR pop was not going to go down well with me and to be fair, she is a much better singer than John Schnieder so sorry about that, swap them round in your head. Not sure what Beyond's contribution is but if its anything like this glad Bucks Fizz beat them in Song For Europe.

15 Turn Me on Turn Me Off - Honey Bane
Ok I said I was nice to new wave girls, I forgot about this. This is like a Tracy Ullman sketch doing a joke version of Toyah /Lene Lovich style pop. Seems she was a real punk rocker on Crass records. I'm expecting some suppoort for this from our new wave loving members. But its really not very good is it.

14 My Mum is One in a Million - Children of Tansley School
Whats even worse than St Winifreds School Choir, a cash in copy record thats what. I cannot muster enough hate for this as until a couple of days ago I had completely forgot this existed. Deleting memory!!!
