Looking forward to the draw next weekend - if Italy get drawn with the Netherlands or Croatia then we'd have a proper group of death.
Group of life could be something like: Germany, Albania, Czech, Luxembourg

This could be the first ever Euros not to see any teams making their first appearance, which would be boring.

It would be a shame. Nothing against Greece but I'm hoping one of the other teams in the Path C playoffs makes it through.
Only 16 of UEFA's 55 members have never qualified for the Euros (including Bosnia & Herzegovina and Israel, who have both played at a World Cup) but there's probably only a handful that have any real chance of qualifying in the near future. Moldova and Kazakhstan both came close to automatic qualification this time. Georgia missed out in the playoffs for the last Euros, losing to North Macedonia. Estonia and Montenegro both reached the Euro 2012 playoffs after finishing 2nd in their qualifying groups but were beaten by Ireland and Czech Republic respectively. Luxembourg reached the quarter-finals of the 1964 tournament when the whole thing was played as a straight knockout but only the semis and final were played as a standalone event.
Never qualified: Andorra Armenia Azerbaijan Bosnia & Herzegovina Estonia Faroe Islands Georgia Israel Kazakhstan Kosovo Liechtenstein Luxembourg Malta Moldova Montenegro San Marino

European Championship debutants by year:
1960: Czechoslovakia, France, USSR, Yugoslavia
1964: Denmark, Hungary, Spain
1968: England, Italy
1972: Belgium, West Germany
1976: Netherlands
1980: Greece
1984: Portugal, Romania
1988: Ireland
1992: Scotland, Sweden
1996: Bulgaria, Croatia, Switzerland, Turkey
2000: Norway, Slovenia
2004: Latvia
2008: Austria, Poland
2012: Ukraine
2016: Albania, Iceland, Northern Ireland, Slovakia, Wales
2020: Finland, North Macedonia
Number of teams in the tournament: 1960-1976: 4 1980-1992: 8 1996-2012: 16 2016-present: 24
Both FIFA and UEFA appear to recognise Czech Republic as the sole successor to the Czechoslovakia team but UEFA acknowledges in its history of the Slovakia team on its website that a significant number of Slovak players were in the Czechoslovakia team that won the Euros in 1976.

Never qualified: Andorra Armenia Azerbaijan Bosnia & Herzegovina Estonia Faroe Islands Georgia Israel Kazakhstan Kosovo Liechtenstein Luxembourg Malta Moldova Montenegro San Marino I think 8 of those 16 have a chance to qualify in the future. Once those 8 are done, I don't think we will have any new teams, unless UEFA allow the winners of Nations League Division D to qualify automatically like the previous time. Under the old system, North Macedonia would still be waiting to appear for the first time, while Finland qualified outright finishing 2nd in their group behind Italy. Because Italy won all their qualifying game, Finland's 6-0-4 record was enough to qualify them, but not this time round despite having an identical record.
