These are my faves and would be much higher, the fact that only 1 of them was a top 40 says it all about our charts Will the other Blackbud single bea featuring? Forever? 178 Yeah Yeah Yeah’s – Turn Into 176 The Aliens – The Happy Song 166 Damien Rice - 9 Crimes 163 Blackbud – Heartbeat (EP) 158 The Blood Arm – Suspicious Character

Hmmm, a comparatively weak group I'd say with only Belle & Sebastian likely to make my top 100.

yeh maybe as Ive said before theyres a not a lot between the bottom 80 they are all songs I have enjoyed this year but the precise order maybe slightly flawed anyway heres the next bunch.
130 The Feeling - Sewn 129 Alkaline Trio - Burn 128 The Raconteurs - Broken Boy Soldiers 127 All American Rejects – It Ends Tonight 126 Dashboard Confessional – Don’t Wait 125 We Are Scientists - The Great Escape 124 OK Go – A Million Ways 123 I Love You But Ive Chosen Darkness - According To Plan 122 Graham Coxon – Standing On My Own Again 121 Depeche Mode – Suffer Well
A strong section if you like US College rock here with 6 out of 10 being big US hits. First appearance for The Feeling and Graham Coxon finishing quite well this year again much better last year.

Beauty Shop - Monster was a re-issue in 2006 having first come out in 2004. They had two more singles in 2005, Papers For Josie and A Desperate Cry For Help, the last of which reached NM #2.
I haven't thought much of Morrissey this year apart from You Have Killed Me which I guess is higher up in yours.

I'm bored heres ten more
120 Death Cab For Cutie – I Will Follow You Into The Dark 119 The Zutons - Oh Stacey (Look What You've Done) 118 Thom Yorke – Harrowdown Hill 117 The Spinto Band - Oh Mandy 116 The Eagles Of Death Metal - I Want You So Hard 115 Secret Machines – All At Once 114 Placebo - Infra-Red 113 Fall Out Boy - A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More 112 dEUS – What We Talk About When We Talk About Love 111 Hope Of The States – Sing It Out
BTW My Number one of the year is playing now hehe My favourite song is a foregone conclusion by a country mile but 2 & 3 are still ver closely fought.
dEUS havent been in my top 200 for over ten years, theyre last top ten hit was in 1994 I think and was called 'Suds & Soda'

Heres the last group before we reach the Top 100
110 Giant Drag – This Isn’t It 109 Panic! At The Disco - Buts It Better If You Do 108 Arctic Monkeys - View From The Afternoon 107 Guillemots - We're Here 106 Sigur Ros – Saeglopur 105 Stellastarr* - Sweet Troubled Soul 104 Pearl Jam - Worldwide Suicide 103 The Secret Machines - Lightening Blue Eyes 102 Guillemots – Trains To Brazil 101 Keane – Crystal Ball
Some of the best new breakthrough acts of 2006 in this list and most have at least one other big song to come. The Guillemots are a strange band one or two songs I absolutely love, most are alright but a bit weird and some are unlistenable but very high up the list they have another track too come.

#99 Feeder " Lost & Found "Fairly hum drum release of a Best Of album but even Feeder by numbers is better than most stuff out there, although they need to reinvent themselves a bit getting kinda stale methinks.

#98 The Futureheads " Skip To The End "A great single this from a fairly disappointing album was hoping for a bit more imagination but it is basically THe FutureHeads Mark 2 I'm not very good at this being a bit harsh to songs that are among my favourites hehe

That Death Cab For Cutie song reached NM #2, the second time they have peaked at that position.
If you like I could compile your chart of the year based on points, if you give me all your charts from the year.

I used to do it that way NM but I find it so time consuming and you get strange results sometimes, this way was actually so much faster and will probably have the most accurate top 50 Ive ever had anyway.
But all my charts are on the same spreadsheet,do you have a special way of doing it or is it listing all the songs and their points each week and just doing a sum for each one, then sorting it??
Oh and NM I know you normally do a Top 675 or sumthin but we never get to see the top 100 or even find out the top 3, I would love to know the top 20s of your past 5 years or so??!!
