2 PYRAMID SONG[/i] - RADIOHEAD ;D;D;D;D i jumped in the river and what did i see? black-eyed angels swimming with me a moon full of stars and astral cars and all the figures i used to see all my lovers were there with me all my past and futures and we all went to heaven in a little row boat there was nothing to fear, nothing to doubt...not even in my radiohead top 5 but it's still in the upper reaches of my chart and deserves recognition in yours. now, i wonder what the number one can be?

no, i just couldn't be bothered because no-one else cares except you, and you are the only person who will know the song anyway I've been reading... *feels bad for not commenting enough* As for your top 10... 10 - 6 were ok, not particular favourites of mine really... but 5 - 2 are all fantastic songs worthy of the upper regions of anyone's chart. Intrigued to know what #1 is...

ah, go on then it really deserves an ESSAY of commentary, but i'll try and keep it to a few lines i still doubt that anyone apart from frag knows it, but someone could surprise me

1 NEWBORN - ELBOW i'll be the corpse in your bathtub useless i'll be as deaf as post if you'll hold me like a newborn whisper what you feel
my badly-strung declaration to you you'll spend the end of your days gently smiling like a newborn love not by degrees
press your lips to my eyes taste my tears on your tongue pull the blinds play our song nothing's changed nothing could be wrong
scream in the night kick and fight like a newborn holding me shaking awake in the dark all of these promises kept still unbroken tracing the scars, tracing the scars even and cold as we both become older your arms bound about me the hush in your voice the warmth of your fingers entwined around mine in the eve of our lives never a choice...those are (almost) the entire lyrics of the greatest song ever recorded, and fantastic as they are, even they just cannot do justice to it. i will try, with my appalling commentary nonskill, to describe it to you the very first sound you hear is garvey's voice, almost as quiet as a sung whisper, and a beautifully soft acoustic guitar melody develops around it for the next couple of verses... over the next 7 and a half minutes it slowly develops into a stunning instrumental frenzy so mind-blowingly, incredibly gorgeous that it shuts out the rest of the world and takes you over. the whispers become roars, a single acoustic guitar becomes an orchestra, and over all this garvey sings, with ever-growing passion and intensity, heart-breakingly lovely lyrics. for three years now it's been my favourite song ever; it's been my anthem for everything from depression to hope how on earth radio 1 could bring themselves to censor such an utter masterpiece of modern music, i will never understand in fact, how anyone can fail to fall in love with this song is beyond me... if you know it, i hope you know what i'm talking about. if you don't, i can't begin to tell you how much you're missing (although, as you can see, i've tried ). it's just [insert adjective so strong that it hasn't been invented yet]. RIGHT, that's me done. now i can do something else without a guilty conscience ;D

Ah, I think I do know that one...
Am fairly certain it's on one of my more obscure compilations.
I have to say, rather shamefully, that I don't think I've paid it much attention. Will see if I can dig it out and correct that... ;D

You know, that's NOT true! I'll download it later, but first I need to re-build my MP3 collection... why do you continually rebuild your mp3 collection? and please invest in some music
