52. Idlewild - El Capitan [2005]Second of three songs for Idlewild on the top 100. For me, this is Idlewild's finest hour lyrically. A wonderful song that got overlooked from Warning/Promises.

51. Idlewild - American English [2002]Three in a row for Idlewild!! Having listened to all three songs back to back as I type, it strikes me that they are all very similar! Nonetheless, it shows that Idlewild can come up with truly glorious songs time and time again. American English always reminds me of a very good summer that year.

50. Liberty X - Just A Little [2002]Sexy...everything about you so sexy indeed. A quality pop song that I couldn't get out of my head at the time!

I love at least 29 of your tracks so far.
Great to see Bloc party - The Pioneers, Cherry Ghost - People Help The People and Nelly Furtado - Powerless in there, all three of which IMO are underrated.

49. Beverley Knight - Gold [2002]R&B music is not strongly represented in the top 100, mainly because there is such crap out there. But Beverley Knight has always been an exception. Much like the Kristian Leontiou song from earlier, I really identified with Gold when I first heard it. It might be a sign that I'm an arrogant b*st*rd, but I like songs about how great you are!

48. Coldplay - Yellow [2000]Eight years ago, this was the song where it all began for Coldplay. And it really has stood the test of time. I liked Yellow when it came out, but it wasn't until a few years later when I realised how brilliant it actually is. First of only two songs in the top 100 for Coldplay.

47. Beverley Knight - Shoulda Woulda Coulda [2002]Another great song from Bev. There is something really heartbreaking about Shoulda Woulda Coulda that really stirs me up every time. Even though this was a top ten hit, it is still very underrated.

46. Dana Glover - Thinking Over [2003]If you've not heard this song, please listen to the YouTube link. Another very underrated song, and I like this for the same reasons as Shoulda Woulda Coulda. The way that it builds at the end is truly spine-tingling.

45. The Fray - How To Save A Life [2007]Huge hit from last year, and even with the endless play on radio etc, I never got tired of this song. A really beautiful song both lyrically and musically.

44. Feeder - Comfort In Sound [2003]The first of four songs on the top 100 for the fantastic Feeder. Even though they cocked up the single releases from the Comfort In Sound album, the title track still got a download only release, plus a limited edition CD only available on tour. When I heard the album for the first time, this track really stood out.

Loooove most of your songs. All these are '10 out of 10' songs to me: 45 The Fray - How to save a life [2007] 47 Beverly Knight - Shoulda coulda woulda [2002] 48 Coldplay - Yellow [2001] 53 Idlewild - You Held The World In Your Arms [2002] 58 Sonique - It Feels So Good [1998/2000] 59 Athlete - Twenty Four Hours [2005] 60 Alanis Morrisette - Hands Clean [2002] 63 Nelly Furtado - Powerless (Say What You Want) [2003] 69 Rui Da Silva - Touch Me [2001] 70 Keane - Everybody's Changing [2004] 71 ATB - Let U Go [2001] 72 Daniel Bedingfield - If You're Not The One [2002] 73 Embrace - Gravity [2004] 74 Avril Lavigne - I'm With You [2003] 80 Keane - Bedshaped [2004] 81 Snow Patrol - Set The Fire To The Third Bar [2006]
I really like your combination of styles, pop, indie (Idlewild, Athlete), even a bit of dance (love Sonique and Rui da Silva). The only one I really really dislike is My Chemcal Romance, truly bad music IMHO.
If you like Set Fire to the Third Bar, check the version with Lisa Hanigan on vocals. She's the girl who used to sing with Damien Rice, best voice ever.
And agree Smurfie, Bend and Break is the best song off Hopes & Fears!!

43. Evanescence - Bring Me To Life [2003]I adored Bring Me To Life the instant I heard it. Never in a million years did I think it would be a #1 hit. It reminds me of my last few weeks in school when I was sitting my A Levels.

42. Lowgold - Beauty Dies Young [2001]Strangely, this song reminds me of when I started my A Levels!! It was number 40 on the chart that aired just before I went back to school the following day. If it charted one place lower, I may never have heard it. From then it has stuck with me ever since.

41. System Of A Down - Chop Suey [2001]I mentioned by brief 'Kerrang' phase earlier, and from that time Chop Suey is really the only song that has survived the test of time for me. To be honest, I can take or leave the shouty bits in the first half of the song, but the second half is just fantastic.
