Are we doing this again this season?
Blackburn were very lucky to get 3 points against Everton on Saturday as Nelsen was offside when he set up the winner. Boro had a good goal disallowed against Spurs but it didn't affect the final outcome.
Gained: Blackburn 2
Lost: Everton 1

Yep, was going to do this again but forgot.
Also agreed with those two.

Possible penalty shout for Boro against Liverpool yesterday? Something for you to look out for on MOTD2...

Possible penalty shout for Boro against Liverpool yesterday? Something for you to look out for on MOTD2... Possibly but I guess we're not counting penalties not given again this season. Don't remember anything else suspect from yesterday. There might've been handball in Richardson's goal for Sunlun against Spurs but it would've been harsh to rule it out...

Was Torres offside this weekend? Certainly didn't look it.
And did Cahill's goal cross the line?

Liverpool's "goal" looked fine to me - looks like they actually lost points I think Cahill's shot crossed the line (just), so that's a goal too. Eboue was offside for Arsenal's first, but the goal didn't make a difference to the result.

Plenty to discuss this weekend. I was at the Arsenal-Hull match (poor me ) and am not sure whether Adebayor's goal should have been disallowed - but then I only saw it live and haven't seen any replays... An obvious non-penalty in the ManU-Bolton game but it had no effect on the result. Also talk of a dubious penalty in the Wigan-Man City game which did have an effect on the result, so maybe Wigan gained 2 points and City lost one here?

I can't even recall seeing a disallowed goal from Adebayor on MOTD!!
The Wigan one should definitely be two points gained. Also, MOTD thought Samba was offside for his goal for Blackburn. They may have been right but from replays it looked incredibly marginal and very difficult for the linesman to spot.

I can't even recall seeing a disallowed goal from Adebayor on MOTD!! Hmm, there definitely was a goal disallowed, about 15 minutes into the first half. I'd be surprised if MOTD didn't show it, to be honest...

There might have been, I watched the re-run in the morning and I'd been out the night before so I probably just can't remember!

To be fair to Mark i don't remember either, though I was tired having not had much sleep the night before!
MOTD's highlights don't always cover everything, as i found out for the Reading-Man U game last season which showed it to be one sided when it definitely wasn't having watched Football First beforehand..

A close decision on Saturday but van Persie's goal against Sunderland should have stood as the ball did not go out of play before Walcott's cross.

Man you want to try the refs in the Conference, absolutely diabolical, they seem to give penalties for fun and red cards *sigh* I miss football league refs, they were bad, but not as inept as this

Players who should have been sent off/banned in recent weeks, but haven't: Terry (diabolical "tackle" in Chelsea vs Arsenal) Ivanovic (persistent fouling and attempting to grab someone's leg out of mid-air in Chelsea vs Arsenal) C. Ronaldo (kicking out at a Spurs player in Spurs vs Man U)

For what it's worth (and that's not very much, given their inconsistent and sometimes baffling interpretation of the rules) this is what rightresult.net has so far this season:
POINTS LOST through incorrect decisions Bolton 3 Chelsea 1 Fulham 2 Hull 1 Middlesbrough 5 Newcastle 4
POINTS GAINED Arsenal 3 Blackburn 4 Everton 1 Liverpool 1 Stoke 1 Sunderland 2 West Brom 1 West Ham 3
So their league table looks like this: 1. Chelsea 38 2. Liverpool 37 3. Man Utd 32 4. Aston Villa 31 5. Hull 28 6. Arsenal 27 7. Middlesbrough 25 8. Everton 24 9. Fulham 23 10. Bolton 23 11. Newcastle 23 12. Portsmouth 23 13. Wigan 22 14. Tottenham 19 15. Stoke 19 16. Man City 18 17. Sunderland 16 18. West Ham 16 19. West Brom 11 20. Blackburn 9

I'm guessing they counted Boro's penalty appeal at the weekend - definite penalty, I'm afraid to say.

I'm guessing they counted Boro's penalty appeal at the weekend - definite penalty, I'm afraid to say. Yes they did. We should've had one against Newcastle a few weeks ago as well so that's 4 of our 5 points. Can't remember where the other one came from. Bizarrely, they had last weekend's game as 2-0 to Hull, based on the following: Tuncay's goal was offside (it wasn't) Hull should've had a penalty (they shouldn't) The penalty Hull were awarded shouldn't have been given

Another week, another appalling "referee"... Adebayor sent off for 2 bookings despite not committing a foul the entire game. I won't quite go as far to say that it influenced the result (although who knows what could have happened if it had been 11v11 instead of 10v12?), but Webb did his best: the same tackle is a booking for an Arsenal player, and no foul for a Liverpool player.
Is it even possible to appeal against Adebayor's pair of non-bookings? He'd be quite handy at Villa...
