I hope I know what I'm doing putting a 9 on a fixture involving Ipswich - usually I give 1 whenever they show up.

Risky to put so many points on teams who have nothing to play for, but there are a lot of tough matches this week.

I should have known not to put such a high score on an Ipswich game. I did well with my middle scores though.

What a tough week! Several surprises in the Premier League lead to a lot of dropped points, and championship challenger Earl Purple posts a negative score. Robin comes out on top with a respectable 154, being the only person to get his '10' correct.

Earl Purple falls away (and back over the 10,000 barrier), has his challenge ended? Robin extends his lead over Frag to 110 points.

This week's stats Average score: 59.71 (toughest week of the season) Easiest to predict: WBA 2-0 Middlesbrough: 354 pts (5/7 correct) Hardest to predict: Birmingham 0-0 Hull: -61 pts (0/7 correct)

Saturday 1 May For the lower leagues, I decided against specifically picking the crucial fixtures, so as usual, those fixtures are randomised. We still have a crucial relegation battle, and a few teams in play-off hunts. In the Premier League, it's another pivotal day in the race for 4th. Please have your predictions in by 3pm ;D
Manchester City v Aston Villa Portsmouth v Wolverhampton Wndrs Stoke City v Everton Tottenham Hotspur v Bolton Wanderers Leyton Orient v Wycombe Southend v Stockport Swindon v Brentford Bradford v Northampton Dag & Red v Hereford Rotherham v Crewe

Man City really need to win, Tottenham should win theirs and should win at Burnley so if Man City fail to win they won't get CL even if they beat Tottenham unless it's by a huge margin which they won't do.

Man City really need to win, Tottenham should win theirs and should win at Burnley so if Man City fail to win they won't get CL even if they beat Tottenham unless it's by a huge margin which they won't do. City GD +27, Spurs GD +26... so even a 1-goal win for City could be enough.

All home wins today except Stoke and Everton who drew!
You are right I must have seen Villa's GD not Man City's when comparing. Anyway, academic now, Man City must beat Tottenham to keep it in their own hands and if they fail Tottenham's last game is away at Burnley and should really win there.
For Liverpool to be able to qualify they have to hope that Man City and Tottenham draw, both lose their final game (or Man City draw) and Liverpool would have to win both of theirs (including Chelsea at home) to pip Tottenham (and Man City) on goal-difference.
Villa can't possibly finish 4th now as at least one of Man City and Tottenham must reach 68 points when they play each other.

Yep, correct.
Scores and final fixtures will be up tonight, but if EP is correct about the results, I will have closed the gap by 11 points on Robin, with EP slipping back another 66 pts from the top.

Actually EP is wrong and you have closed the gap further. Rotherham only drew 0-0 with Crewe. I think it's very tight at the top now!
